At The Royal Albert Hall' celebrates CAMEL's superb 'Moonmadness 2018 tour. Universally acclaimed by everyone that saw it, the RAH concert was the pinnacle of the tour. With the line-up of Andrew Latimer (guitar / flute / vocals), Colin Bass (bass / vocals), Denis Clement (drums) and Pete Jones (keyboards / vocals) this is CAMEL at their best . A Legendary Band's Triumphant Return to The Royal Albert Hall
This concert video captures a brilliantly performed, emotional return to the RAH by one of the best and possibly, the most underrated of the 1970's born, UK prog rock bands. Andy Latimer still brings the emotively deep, soul-piercing electric guitar work that he's been known for throughout their history and he will probably go down as one the all-time greatest guitar players ever...who many have never heard of.As a fan of the band since 1975 (I saw them live in Portland Oregon on their 1976 Moonmadness tour) I've seen them navigate through fluctuating musical trends, personnel changes, and even the deaths of several members, including founding keyboardist Pete Bardens. Throughout it all, they've provided their fans with an incredible array of music and this show, featuring the live performance of their entire Moonmadness album, only adds to their prolific musical output and sterling legacy.Their last two concert videos in particular -- In From The Cold (their 2014 show at The Barbican in London - performing as rare 5-piece band) and the 2016 Japan show Ichigo Ichie, were both strong statements that Andy, Colin and crew were, like a fine wine, only getting better with age. Those two shows plus this one are must-haves for any fan of their recent concerts. If you can't find these (along with their many other older concerts) here on Amazon, Camel Productions has their entire oeuvre. It probably does the band more good when you purchase their music there as well.Among the standouts from this show (at least to my ears) were Another Night and Lunar Sea (both from Moonmadness) and The Dust and Dreams excerpts End Of The Line, Mother Road, and Hopeless Anger. The shiver inducing, eye-watering BEST tracks of the night have to be Rajaz (which features a stunning sax solo by Pete Jones, accompanied by some monster bass grooves by longtime bassist/vocalist Colin Bass), the 1973 classic Lady Fantasy and of course, Andy's tour de force guitar masterpiece, Ice.Both the audio and camera work are excellent and again, from this fan’s perspective, the band has never been in finer form. After not performing at the Albert Hall since 1975 (when they played their prog masterpiece album The Snow Goose in its entirety with The London Symphony Orchestra) seeing them there again for this 2018 show was heartwarming indeed. I unhesitatingly recommend this release to dedicated and casual fans of the band alike!

Amazing multi-instrumentalist adds zest to classic Prog act.
I know more about progressive rock, especially from the UK, than any other genre, and I had certainly heard of Camel and knew they were one of the early prog powerhouses. I was only familiar with a few songs, tho, and was delighted to hear that Pete Jones had signed up with Camel full time. I was NOT expecting to be blown away by Andy Latimer. Holy moly, what an underrated guitarist. For those unfamiliar with Camel, their sound is similar to that of classic Genesis or Magenta, just from the material in this show. I, for one, will be digging deeper! And that brings us to Pete Jones, the newest member of Camel, on keys, sax, guitars and whatever else they can throw at him. This guy plays almost as many instruments as Ambrosia, AND has a lead quality voice. Pete nearly steals the show (wait for the sax, then nod) and is a great addition to one of the greatest prog bands you may never have heard of.The DVD is very well produced. Good camera work, sound mix seemed just fine on the TV speakers.

Must Have For Camel Fans
Before I finally got my copy of this concert I was beyond excited to listen to how the songs sounded with Pete Jones contributing his musicianship alongside the guitar god and wind player Andrew Latimer. If you are fan of Camel this concert recording is a MUST HAVE.Moonmadness is already a masterpiece of an album, but the band manages to play it in its entirety while simultaneously making it challenge the quality of the studio recording. There are some Camel songs (such as Rajaz, Another Night, and Lady Fantasy) that I will not be able to listen to the same after experiencing Pete Jones add his blazing hot saxophone solos to some of the songs. The video quality is amazing, this line up of Camel of legendary, and I have already watched it twice after owning it for one day. I am going to wear this DVD out.I may have to buy another copy to be safe. I cannot get enough!

Great show! Plays fine on my US Blu-ray player.
Only issue I have with this is Amazon sent me a used previously opened package for full list price, not shrink wrapped, and the cardboard case is pretty beat up. Luckily the disc didn't come out of the case during shipping and handling and is OK. It is an all region code Blu-ray. Don't know why they have the warning that it won't play on most US players. I went to Camel's web site and verified all region before I ordered. If you are a Camel fan, get it! Do wish it had 5.1 sound but the stereo mix is good.

Another Camel masterpiece - thank you Andy
I have been an avid Camel fan since the mid-70's and have most of the catalog, so I was thrilled to find this. If you are a prog-rock fan and have never experienced this band, you owe it to yourself to dive in. This is a great sampling of their vast catalog, all brilliantly executed by fantastic musicians in a great live venue. Andy is still probably the most overlooked prog guitarist ever, but in my mind he should be at the top of that list. This is the first time I've seen Pete Jones, but he fits right in to the emotional music Camel churns out. He, is also an amazing and inspirational musician in his own right. Way to go guys; hope there is more to come!

great concert
great shots of the Albert hall. The way they played strait thru Moonmadness kept it from really having a big kick--but the 2nd set is awesome. Pete Jones has a very nice voice, and I like his sense of phrase; he does a lot of the vocals. there is no other live version of the track RAjazz, but they did it. Pete does the verses on keyboard, and does the solo on sax--really blows you away. They stretccchhhed out Mother Road, and it was great. the encore is Lady Fantasy, but they do it different-not real long, and Pete does a short, but powerful sax solo. Pete also has a typical dry bit of English humor. Those are just the high lights. Like it very much.

Magnifique !

Good Recording
The recording was done in stereo but with a 24 bit resolution. So the sound was quite excellent. I really enjoyed this Blu ray recording. This was an excellent show ..
