I love the variety of colors you can get. If you’re looking for the basic legal pad we all know - this is the step up if you want to have the same concept with a little variety or flare (or for organizational purposes).

How nice to use a product that is 100% recycled and also pleasing to the eye! Someone at TOPS invested time and money in color research to come up with these attractive shades of pastel, rich tints that are nevertheless light enough to contrast with most colors of ink. In my experience, the colors do not fade. The gray may look like it has faded from blue, but that is the color it was meant to be––the least attractive of the three but still pleasant to use. As noted by others, the paper is fairly thin. Ink from the roller ball pens I use does show through on the other side. And the paper colors are dark enough that pencil does not contrast well. It is a trade-off whether you want heavier white lined paper so you can use pencil and write on both sides, or you find the colors so attractive in Prism Plus, you are willing to be somewhat restricted. For certain types of writing, it is easier not to be flipping from front to back, and that’s why I am comfortable with these 8.5 by 11 inch pads and have been using them for years. If you value products that add a little whimsey or aesthetic appeal to brighten up your world and help preserve resources at the same time, you may want to try a package and judge for yourself.

great for the money, came in prompt... yellow and white hurts my eyes so the gray/blue/lilac is much better. paper is smooth and doesn't bleed.if your a paper conisour you will probably (no offense) find something you don't like. this is simply said "just a paper tablet in calming colors" its not perfection, its just simple paper in calming colors for those of us who cant stand yellow and white glaring at us in the face.so if you just want something to write on for work or every day life this is perfect. I really couldn't be happy :)now if you want perfection, if you desire the lines to be perfectly measured etc etc etc you might be unhappy....but if your just a down to earth person wanting some pretty tablets to write on this rocks!i use it for work (i work at home) and i use it for everyday life (itiniaries/chores/shop lists/letters etc)my kids use it for jotting down homework at school/letters/notes/their to do lists etc.i find yellow/white tablets give me a headache.if you want the best pens in the world to go with this paper (im a pen stickler)pilot G-2 07amazon might have a multipack/ i get mine from costco in a multi pack.i like those pens cause smooth and they write amazing on this paper. enjoy ;)

I will say that I'm torn about 4 or 5 stars. In the end, to be super technical I suppose the fault was mine in that I didn't know what "legal rule" entailed exactly. I figured that lawyers have to write alot so it was probably narrowly ruled.I was wrong. This is closer to the classic "wide ruled" size. I am a lover of as small a 'rule' as possible. The lines are also sort of thick, which again, is personal preference and extreme nitpickyness on my part. I like precision.That said, I bought these because I have a picky, super logical, control freak, theoretical computer science professor who gave us an inordinate amount of guidelines for the kind of paper that we could use for our assignments. He neglected to set guidelines for color so I figured that it would irk him to be reminded that he overlooked this presumably abhorrent characteristic. ;) Plus it's easier to find your papers in a stack of returned graded assignments when yours is one of the few non-white ones.All that said, I'm glad I bought them. I'm not sure my ideal of narrow ruled, thin lined paper in these sort of colors for this price, etc even exists. But just change the item description to say "wide ruled" since that's a more widely accepted term.

I’m a student in college and learned I like these better than spiral bound notebooks so I bought them to have some fun colors to brighten up my notes. Sadly, these are not bright at all! They are very dull and not that pretty of colors (although I did end up liking the darker purple/blue color). I also didn’t read the reviews much and purchased on a whim so I was also disappointed to learn that they were wide ruled which I’m not a huge fan of. However, I did decide not to return them and just used one for the first time this morning and I really like how smooth they are to write on, probably due to the slightly thin paper. Also, the wide rule gave me a bit of extra room to add comments my professor made regarding topics I had already wrote down. All in all, I’m actually pleased with my purchase (despite how sad the colors made me because I love color in my life!) and will continue to use them for the rest of my classes as well. I’ll just be using more colored pens and highlighters to make up for it!

These are the best writing pads! The paper is the perfect weight and the pages tear easy. I will definitely purchase again!

I ordered these for work notes. They are good as far as notepads go.

These are okay quality for the price - they don't rip out very easily and there's a stack of partially ripped sheets at the top now. I will likely go back to the higher quality Cambridge brand after these are used up...

Does exactly what you expect from it! Best value for money so far, ink doesn’t go through and sheets ripping off where they should.

Papier un peu moins robuste que j'aurais pensé mais ok pour mes besoins.

Perforated edges are a little tough to rip, but all in all, very good notepads. Love the colours.
