best pre packaged jambalaya!
Excellent product. To keep it simple for camping meal we use pre-cooked chicken, brown and serve sausages, and packaged ham or frozen shrimp. Leftovers are even better.

Fantastic favor! One of my favorite meals.
I'm vegetarian and most time vegan. This mixed with vegan Italian Sausage, ground crumbles and "chicken" substitute is hard to beat! Most wh have tried this had no idea it was vegan. Bet the rest of you will find the flavors great with meat products!

Canterbury Naturals On The Bayou Jambalya Soup Mix
This has a great taste, we love it and recommend it highly. Be aware it is on the spicy side.

Boring soup that needs to be doctored
I'm not a fan of spicy food, so I tasted this soup as I went along. I'm so glad I did because this soup is tasteless! To start with, I sweated some onions, garlic, and celery, because it looked like there was nothing in the soup but dried spices. Then I added a cup of rice, because there are maybe five grains of rice in this mix. Otherwise, I followed the directions, adding chorizo (no andouille on hand), and when I tasted the soup, it tasted like nothing. Zero flavor! Despite the ingredient list, I couldn't taste salt, chives, tomato, bell pepper, paprika, cayenne or anything else. So, I went online to see what Creole spice mixes were and made my own. I also poured in some V8 Spicy Hot Vegetable Juice (which is also not that spicy). After I added those things, the soup at least tasted like something, but really not like jambalaya. All in all, it's just as much work making this soup palatable as starting from scratch.

Tasty Soup!
I am not a purchaser of dried soup mixes; however, I purchased this soup mix for an available quick meal and finally needed it today. It has a really good flavor and my son and I were not disappointed. I think next time I'll add 1/4 more rice to the mix to resemble more of a jambalaya vs. a jambalaya soup. Overall....it was quite tasty and I will buy again.
