Excellent book for more advanced player.
This is not a biggeners book. Mazas Studies are technically difficult.I started of with Schradieck as most people do, but to supplement this I played duets such as the Mazas Duets from the easy to the advance works and enjoyed the experience.I have diplomas in Violin & Viola and have not played for a few years. Trying these studies I really had to go back to basics and check & recheck things like left and right hand positions. Some of my left hand positions I had to re-aline and pull my thumb & fingers to accommodate good positions. The studies give one a chance to be much more of a perfectionist than they were when it was all new.If you are really picky and work really hard on it then when you get to the Mazas studies/etudes it will be refreshing how well conditioned your fingers will become.Mazas etudes are great and many of them are very enjoyable pieces to play.Perfect the basics and the technique will developed.

Bad product.
The print is ok: not very spaced nor very cramped. But (and this is a big but), we're talking about studies which we assume that are to be used frequently. If you open the book frequently the sheets will start to get loose one by one. They are glued instead of sewing. This a review about the item not the seller with was very OK.
