I want touseit to give volume to my short hair

You can get volume with this . Think of it as a curling wand with bristles. The bristles help you guide the hair into the brush and you can then retract them to set and release the curl. If you want to dry volume into your hair try their oval brush/ dryer instead of this as you can basically use it as a giant roller that dries your hair at the root. Both products are terrific and easy to use

Can I use this on short hair wet/dry

I don’t think that would be a good idea. It’s a dry hair styling brush for curling / styling. I think it would damage your hair and not work well on wet hair. This is basically a curling tong with retractable bristles . Revamp do a hot air dryer and styler with an oval shaped head that is fantastic for drying and styling wet hair in a super speedy time, try that instead if you want to use it on wet hair
