Supplements the Porsche Service Manual very well
Nice book, with some helpful advise. This book does not replace the need for a the Porsche Service Manual, but supplements the manual with additional tips and tricks.Has information on all generations of 356 (PreA, T1, T2, T5, and T6).Heavily focused on metal work and body, this is a great addition for a DIY restorer. Happy I have it in my garage to reference while restoring my coupe.

Fantastic book for 356 heads!!!
Being a 356 neophyte, it was recommended that I buy this book and study it in preparation of restoring my 1960 B Coupe. I am so impressed and excited about this book! It is literally written by a guy who has been in the 356 restoration trenches for decades. Its language is plain, clear and easily understandable. To top it off Ron Roland is a man of faith and is unabashed. This is a great book to have even if you don't plan on restoring your car. Read it to gain more knowledge of your tub!!!

the best 356 restoration guide.
this collection of articles from the 356 registry archives has been expertly edited into a well organized and complete guide to DIY restoration.covers general basics and more importantly specific rust repairs to the 356.basically a step by step guide, nothing else comes close.you need no other reference besides the workshop manuals.(and you probably don't really need those.)with this for the body and maestros book for the engine, you are coveredi just finished restoring my 72 911, i wish i had as good a restoration resource.i can't wait to start work on my 356A, with this reference it should be a piece of cake!

Fantastic! Worth more than all the other Porsche Restoration books put together
I've just resumed restoration of my 1965 Cabriolet, and this book made me glad I waited. Ron Roland goes into incredible detail. Want to make your own jack spurs? Here's a dimensional pattern. Replacing the floor? There's a greatly expanded version of his article that appeared in "Technical and Restoration Guide". About 10 pages on door disassembly and repair. 9 pages on convertible tops. Plans for an engine dolly and rotisserie. And on and on. There is no "boilerplate" junk information in this book. It's all meat.

Very in depth 356 Restoration Guide Book
There is a lot of depth here. This isn't a picture book at all. Just the opposite. There is so much here that you have to be in the process of an actual restoration to appreciate it.
