Unlike some heavier combs that can dig into the scalp or cause discomfort, these are gentle, making them suitable for those who want a secure hold without the added weight.Unfortunately, the hold isn’t as strong as I expected, especially for someone with thin hair or during more physically demanding tasks (e.g., jogging, working at the dock). While the combs work fine for sitting or light movement, they tended to slip out when I was engaged in active tasks. If you have fine hair or plan on using these during activities that involve a lot of movement, they may not provide the grip you need. Due to the looser grip, I found myself needing to readjust these combs multiple times throughout the day. While they are beautiful, the inconvenience of constantly repositioning them was a downside. They might be better suited for short periods or specific styles that don’t require a lot of support.These Camila Paris French side combs are stylish and comfortable, making them a good choice for light, decorative use. However, they don’t provide the firm hold needed for more active situations or for those with fine hair. While I appreciate the craftsmanship, I ultimately had to return them as they didn’t meet my needs for a secure, all-day hold. If you’re looking for a delicate, elegant hair accessory and don’t need a strong grip, these might be worth trying.

These hair combs are pretty - almost elegant. But because they are glossy, they aren't good for holding fine hair. I'm bummed. They're great, just not for my type hair.

The packaging was lovely, tissue and a gossamer bag. Made in France, these are not cheap plastic, but a well made and solid material that will last for years and not cloud or fade. They are two inches in length. Very pretty shiny brown color and they hold the hair well.

Totally my fault for not reading that these are only 2 inches. Would probably work for thinner hair, but def won’t for thick hair. They seem nice and are cute otherwise
