My first Frankie Stein doll~
I love Monster High dolls, and for a while I was only collecting the Draculaura dolls, because she is my favorite. But when i saw this doll i HAD TO HAVE HER! I always wanted the comic-con black and white doll, so i was so excited to see that they came out with a new black and white tone doll at such a reasonable price- something everyone can afford. Now to the features about her that I like: like all the other MH dolls, Frankies makes up is beautifuly painted, I love all her stitches as well, as well as her neck bolts. I think her outfit is super cute, and i LOVE her shoes that she comes with too! She also has a braclet included. Her hair is very stiff, so you cant brush it, and she doesnt come with a brush either. She does however, come with a stand with is great. I do wish she came with a few more accesories, but for the price she is, im not gonna complain. great addition to my collection!

Skull shores..
This doll is amazing, I'm a collector of Monster high dolls, I currently own 15 of them.I have to say I just love this version of Frankie Stien. The doll is beautifull and well detailed, She is completely Monochrome.Starting from the head down she has beautifull styled hair, Although I recommend washing the gel out with hot soap and water, It's much nicer without it.Semi Metalic Makeup, And her stiches are also Metalic. Something small that amused me is that if you look closely at the bolts on her neck (That are silver on this doll) They've gone to the trouble of putting the Screw detailing on it and making it look like and actual bolt, Her outfit is in two peices, A swimsuit with a Skirt that wraps around it.She has earings but you can't see them that match her Shoes and Bracelete. She also comes with a stand. The doll is well jointed as all monster high dolls, And I was happy to see that all the joints on mine were tight, And I couldn't be any happier. This doll was supposed to be and exclusive so I have no idea how she winded up on Amazon for Seven bucks, But it's a well seven bucks spent. (At least that's what I paid at the time.)

GORGEOUS!!
Frankie Stein looks absolutely gorgeous in her Skull Shores outfit. Yes, it is really in gray-scale, doll and packaging. What a great idea! Whoever designs these dolls is extremely talented! The Frankie Stein comic-con doll is also in gray-scale but is an expensive collectors item. This doll, is a wonderful way to get the beauty of the gray-scale Frankie for a low price. The other thing I LOVE about this doll, is her hairstyle. They have given her a cute bob that curls under. She normally has long straight hair. I am an adult collector, and this doll is staying in her box, so I can't review the durability. But collector-wise, she is a MUST! I would suggest snapping this doll up fast before she gets as hard to find as some of the others and the price starts to go up.*side eyes certain amazon sellers*

Disappointed.
After purchasing the Skelita and Robecca Steam dolls, I was impressed with their detail and beauty, so I decided to buy another one for my desk (I am an artist). I thought this doll was the way to go given the fact that she is gray scale (how unique, right?). The second I took her out of the box I was disappointed. Her hair is HARD AS A ROCK ... it's almost as if it were styled with glue. Parts of the lighter grey locks even have a yellow tinge (I'm guessing from whatever material they used to harden it). I suppose it's a good thing this doll comes with ZERO accessories (no purse, brush or diary), because her hair cannot be brushed or styled in any way. Her outfit is just meh, very cheap, plain and simple, and it lacks the detail so many other dolls have in their clothing. Finally, both of her thighs have awful seams running down the length with extra plastic, as if it overran the mold.Simply not good. She pales in comparison in every way to other dolls in this collection. Save your money.

Lovely and Poseable
Monster High is a toyline full of gorgeous dolls, and this greyscale version of Frankie is no exception. She comes with a swim-suit, sarong, shoes, jewelry, and stand (no other accessories). Seeing as she's the daughter of Frankenstein's monster and his bride, she has neckbolts and painted stitches on her face and body. Her shoes, earrings, and bracelet are designed to look like bolts; the shoes are exceptionally detailed and creative. Her face is painted nicely, one eye darker than the other to represent her normal green and blue eyes. The greyscale looks terrific on this doll and her box. This doll has articulation in her knees, hips, neck, shoulders, elbows, and wrists; giving her a wonderful range of motion in her arms and the ability to 'hold' small objects. Her hands and arms can be taken off for ease of putting on her clothes; I found this difficult to do on the doll I recieved. I had to pull fairly hard to get one hand off, and it slipped snugly back in.It is fairly easy to slip the doll onto her stand and pose her. She can also stand unassisted if you keep her legs straight. The only issue I had with my doll is her hair. Her gelled bob was haphazarly cut and styled; random chuncks of the hair were too long in the back, and one piece was gelled smushed and tangled in the front. I was able to fix her hair by rinsing it in warm water with conditioner to get the gel out, cutting it and putting in a little smoothing gel to straighten the smooshed hair in front. Now she looks exactly like the box art.I have read on Monster High doll communities that the dolls made in Indonesia have their hair glued in instead of rooted, and this glue seeps out through the doll's hair over time. I will edit this review if this happens with my doll.I have taken off one star for the sorry state my doll's hair came in, but I still recommend her as a nice toy or display piece. (She was $10 after shipping when I ordered her.) Just be prepared to give a little TLC if you are buying online!
