Set of 24 Garden Yard Planter Colorful Whimsical Butterfly Stakes

arrived quickly without any damage. NOW (take note of use of caps) i really wasnt expect ing thing great,i figured some paper butterflys that would wash away with the rain,sorta a 'one night stand without a happy ending'.what i got was a 'butterfly reproduction on a metal rod that looked great. i put them in my garden around my plants,and i got to tell u they really looked nice. but i figured first rain and 'poooof' they are gone! (take note of explaination character). now i doubt u live in the northern new england erea (if u do leave,theres only room for one excentrate in this area).but we have had rain up the yeng yang,floods,more rain,more floods,etc,etc,etc,etc.(thats 4 'etc' if ur keeping track cia,fbi,mexican federallys).its been very wet! through out it my little butterflys,except the "marvins" have lasted,not faded,not ripped,not done anything except stay in the ground and be pretty,kinda like me except im 89 years old. and here it is folks,almost sept 2013,and the butterflys (except the marvins) are still there. i most very high (i cant find the 'y' on my keyboard) dont bogart the bowl u poor excuse of a nurse) ANYWAY,ABOUT THE BUTTERFLYS CALLED 'MARVINS', now all the butterflys look extremly real,except.what i call the marvins,they are rainbow colored,now i dont know about u,but im almost 90 years old and i have never(even when im stoned silly willy) seen a butterfly in nature thats rainbow colored,they must be a missprint or something,except for the marvins,i must say how much these little things have cheered us up at the sailers home in north new hampshire,BUY EM U DESERVE IT. ALSO,the nurses aid (a pretty 20 something) tells me i need to get off the computer now) its time for lunch. i miss my dog,he died 25 years ago,i hope god lets u have dogs in heaven,i miss him so bad. by bye. ur friend kenny.

The butterflies are great for what they are. There were 24 in the package and a wide variety of designs.The stems are very flexible, probably the stiffness of a paperclip. This made it harder to poke into the ground in some spots, but I was able to wrap a few around branches as well. The stems are colored green to blend in with any plants or grass behind them, but not so bright a green that they will stick out like a sore thumb against anything else.The material of the butterfly bodies is very weak. It is less thick than a credit card but thicker than a sheet of paper. This allows them to move more in the wind to "flutter."It was not easy to get the appearance like the picture just because of a stiffer ground, they couldn't be staggered as much as I'd have liked. You could easily clip the stems with wire cutters though if need be.

The butterflies are very colorful, however, they are really pretty small. They would probably be better in pots rather than having them displayed in my in ground plants. I would have liked to have seen a little longer stakes, so that when staked into a plant or very close to it, it would give the illusion of the butterfly either hovering or perched upon the plant itself. The stakes being fairly short makes this difficult unless the plant is on the small side In addition if the butterflies were a wee bit larger , one would be readily able to view them looking out through a window into ones garden, as well as viewing them from a distance away. Probably fine for close up potted plant viewing though.

I love these colorful butterflies! I saw them being sold in a shop on the Oregon coast and took a chance that I'd find them on Amazon. They were packed well as I brought them to Cairo, Egypt to put in my potted plants on the patio, in the house, and classroom. My students love them too!

I love butterflies perfect for my flower for my decor for my Apartments these butterflies go well with flowers because butterflies just love flowers they're easy to insert wherever I wanted to put the butterflies in with my flowers .and they give it some color to my 🌻💐flowers . although the butterflies are made out of flimsy paper they can easily rip and been out of shape must be very careful when opening up the butterfly wings would have been nice if the butterflies were more firm and sturdier and more vibrant glittery pop of bright colored butterflies are very small can barely notice the butterflies on my flowers butterflies could have been a little bit more bigger but other than that okay .

Just got them yesterday already decorated with my meditation corner in the house which has plants and fountains in between with the lights over ... butterflies stick just fit perfect there spread allover that corner plants and fountain corner ...I tried hiding the stick in the plants so they look real ..They bright up when we lighten up the light over the corner on the top ...looks like butterflies house along with plants and running fountains .. pretty in the night time ...perfect !!!!!If they wud have bigger stick I wud have stick them in my flower bed too in the front yard.... Im sure wud look awesome when they will have solar spot lights on them in the night :)

First, some of the colors/designs are completely unrealistic. Real butterflies do not come in some of these colors. That said, the green, blue and yellow are beautiful--not so much the red and some of the variegated. Seems the "unrealistic" colors are about 2/3 of the lot though.These look GREAT in indoor plants.Second, I placed them in my outdoor garden and they immediately faded from the sun...they turned white. I know they're low priced but would rather get butterflies that are (1) somewhat UV protected so the color stays consistent, at least for one season, and (2) are more consistently real in color and design. I would have loved to have had some orange monarchs; but the red/yellow design does not look real even at a distance. Would pay more for non-fading, more realistic colors. These should be advertised for indoor use only.
