Nope - these are classic pods, not Vertuo

this seem like a dumb question, but i have never had a nespresso machine before, and would have no idea which version to buy to use alumin pods?

You can buy any Nespresso machine (in my opinion ignore the Verturo and premium versions) and use plastic or aluminium. I always get aluminium as the plastic version is never as fresh or as good. Starbucks pods are nearly half the cost of Nespressos own pods despite not being as good. Hope that helps 😁

I would say no, these are for the Nespresso machines, from looking on Amazon for the ESE pods these look more disc like and wider than these pods.
