Very sharp and good quality
Good quality, should last a long time. Did not use enough to comment about ergonomics. I used it to trim my dogs facial hair, around legs and tail. It did not hurt my hands. They re very sharp and cut through the doghair effortlessly.

So far I love these. Ive only used a cple days so don't know how they will last but as new shears they are my favorite yet for grooming at the shop.. they seem to be very well made and seem they will last a long time. lets hope they do! I will try to update a few months down the road. I wish more ppl left feedback for professional shears. Its so hard to find the right ones!Update *** June 13 2016 - Been professionally grooming for about a year now... I haven't tried them all but I've definitely tried a bunch and these are Still my favorite Grooming shears... I've been using them everyday on all breeds for a couple months now, and the most out of my selection of shears. They are still very sharp, they really are very well made, a nice strong shear, they make a nice clean cut. Comfortable in my hand, I cant say enough good stuff about these. In my book these are 100x better than the master grooming 5200 series shears SO much better, if you are familiar and like those ull LOVE these. I used to like the 5200 series now they are my back ups. I have yet to sharpen, I absolutely love these! Love love Love them! Still a 5 star shear in my book!

Southpaw-Approved
These scissors hold an edge for some time. They cut even finer fur dependably. The size is useful for everything from ears and muzzles to undersides and feet. However, unless you have silicone loop inserts, using them is painful after just a few minutes.I am baffled that at this price point, Andis did not provide even a single loop insert for the thumb. Neither does any of the product packaging or writeup mention getting inserts. They're pretty inexpensive, and seem to come in a standard size, so Andis really slipped up on that.

Great smooth action and very sharp
Great smooth action and very sharp. comfortable and a nice looking tool I had to remove the center rings from handle and my fingers now fit very comfortably (average sized man's hands...large might be tight). I own the left handed straight Andis shears/scissors too. The blades on both are true left handed not just the handle like many others. I feel very confident purchasing Andis brand items...they seem to have a certain level of quality and great utility and design without spending lots of money to "try" lots of others. I may not have the best...but what I have is very good without the expensive experimentation. I would buy these again in a heartbeat.

Pair I received did NOT cut at all
Shears arrived with order of shampoo and conditioner so I thought I was all set to groom my English Cocker Spaniels but the shears I received do not cut AT ALL. They just bend the fur. Customer service has issued a return label and they're going back. I also read in the reviews that the finger holes were very small. Since I'm a woman with very small hands I was unconcerned about that. Just so you know, I could get my fingers comfortably through the shears but NOT with the guards in them. So if you have even medium sized hands or if you want to use the rubber guards that come with the shears just be advised that these will only work for extremely small fingers.

Better than a dog deserves
I am a Goldendoodle owner and own the Andis Ultra Edge Special Addition grooming shears. I really like these shears. The cutting heads are changeable and working with this tool is a pleasure. I have great trust with this company so I ordered these trimming shears and am not disapointed. These trimmers are so accurate and sharp. Much better than a dog deserves.

I really loved these shears for the few weeks they were sharp
I really loved these shears for the few weeks they were sharp, they worked great for feet. They went dull too fast for me, but might be good for someone just wanting a decent pair of shears for at home, occasional groooming.

It's still pretty sharp and easy to use after months and months ...
I use the 6.5 ball tip for the feet. As a groomer i've cut hundreds of dogs feet hair and haven't needed to adjust it, haven't needed to sharpen it and because its so cheap (in comparison with high end stuff) I really don't mind if i hit a nail. It's still pretty sharp and easy to use after months and months of use and with a bit of oil it is still going strong. Would recommend for tasks that don't require super fine detail or if you need a good pair of shears that go where you don't want your nice shears to go.
