Fantastic tripod. I was at a photography show with a friend who works professionally, we were looking at another make that is well known in the tripod space. What drove me to this tripod though was the comparative size, weight and ability to hold as near as same weight of camera/lens. The functionality is really simple, I don't like twist locks so these flip locks are welcome, and they are really good ones. Large and strong. They feel well made and secure. The design is subtle, and feels quality. Got this when on offer and the value was not to be missed.

This is my second Sirui tripod and the build quality is very good at a reasonable price (when I bought it). I chose this as I wanted one that was robust, weather resistant lightweight and I could get to chose my own tripod head. The only minor drawback for me is the height of the tripod with my own tripod head attached (and without extending the centre column) is a few inches lower than my previous Sirui, so my camera's viewfinder is not quite at my eye level, but this is not a deal breaker. Even though the leg sections have water resistant seals I would still treat it with a bit of care after a dip in a stream for instance or near the sea and give it a good clean before retracting the sections.

I bought this tripod after returning another brand which had been bought much cheaper. All I can say is you get what you pay for, and whilst this isn’t an expensive tripod, it’s good quality, both in the head and the tripod. The tripod itself is sturdy, resisting flex when you apply firm pressure. Leg adjustments are quick. The head itself is well made. Adjustments are buttery smooth, and firm when tightened appropriately. All in all, an excellent purchase, highly recommend.

Good lightweight travel tripod with a very adapterble ballhead for it's price also it's surprisingly strong and sturdy

I would have given this tripod 5 stars but I am deducting 2 stars because there is no level on tripod legs and it is hidden beneath the mounting plate on the ballhead. The ballhead is nice and smooth to use and it is designed for panoramic use except you cannot see the bubble level when the camera is mounted, Also, a spirit level is needed on the tripod legs for panoramic photos. I will need to spend another €50 to install a bubble level. The ballhead cannot be securely tightened with grub screws either and it has come loose while hillwalking. I fear it will fall off and get lost. This is not good either. I would have returned this tripod and ballhead if I had not used it outdoors. I was very impressed when I first took it out of the box. It is light and compact. It is very smooth to use and has a nice feel to it. I am very disappointed with its flaws as it fails miserably with the panoramic features and no way to secure the ball head.

Tripod is absolutely okay. However, if you value the included bag, the part stinks miserably of chemicals. A week of airing on the terrace has not changed anything so far.

Very light, compact yet sturdy, kind of tripod I was looking for, for my birding trips overseas.

This is an exceptional tripod and ball head, and for the money in particular. Strikes a great balance for leg size, weight and sturdiness while maintaining a very manageable size . The absence of built-in a center column (which can be purchased separately please note) is a positive to me, because the "fold-up" size is much more compact and with flip out screens on DSLRs/MFTs these days working at chest height is easy. The carbon legs and leg locks are very good medium size and feel very high quality and durable. I like the A-10R ballhead and use it with an L bracket where the panning function of the head seems great allowing both rough (lower) collar ring and fine-tuning (upper) ring on the ball adjustments with plenty of capacity load for a full frame DSLR and a beefy lens like the Sigma 14-24. The tripod can easily be slipped into a small carry on bag for travel, especially if one removes the ball head it's very light and svelte. I looked at a number of other tripods in this price range and candidly nothing came close in my opinion looking at alts like Mefoto, Manfrotto, Benro and even other Sirui tripods (in terms of value).

I'm obsessed with this tripod. I spent months doing research before deciding for this one and I'm more than happy with the choice. It doesn't have a ball-head for adjusting the angle of the camera, which in some situations would come in handy (if you shoot in situations were you know you'll be needing to adjust the angle all the time maybe this is not your tripod), but apart from that it's just perfect. Light, well built, sturdy af, veeery nice feeling when handling it, fast to maneuver, the tilt/pan is ok for simple things... On top of that, customer service is excellent. They replied quickly and solved my issue immediately. Overall mega satisfied and would buy it again in the blink of an eye if I lost mine now.
