Great little unit for a great price.
What's not to like about this unit? It seems to be solidly built, starts easily, and run quietly. It's also easy to pack around. Plus you have your choice of fuels - gas or propane. I purchased this in February in anticipation of many camping trips throughout the spring, summer, and fall. But the COVID-19 scare has forced many of my early trips to be cancelled due to closed camping areas. So far I've used it on one trip and it worked like a Champion! I have contacted Champion Tech Support on two occasions - once by email and the other by phone. I had questions regarding how to set up the propane connection so I can use my camp trailer LPG system. I was extremely happy with their responsiveness and helpfulness. They provided the list of fittings that I would need plus detailed instructions. It all went together like they described and it works great! Now I don't have to carry separate fuel for the generator - I can use my RV LPG system. It works exactly as expected, has a great warranty, plus an excellent support staff. And the price is pretty good too. It is also expandable if more power is required. I highly recommend this unit.

Great generator with nice features
I finally wrote a review after using it a few years and dealing with power outages. Reliable start on both LPG and gas. LPG takes some purging to start but easy going pulls. On gas, it usually starts in 1 pull. I like that the device always gives me the output load, fuel remaining, and expected remaining run time so I can anticipate when to refuel if it is late into the evening. Quiet. Easy to maintain. Take care of the generator, and it will take care of you.

Built well. Works well. Not quiet.
This is my first generator ever. Bought it as an emergency power supply since my house is all-electric. Out of box looks nice and solidly built, no complaints. Added oil and started up on LPG. No issues with starting, just follow the instructions and some advice from people here in Q&A. Breathe in some propane with choke closed, then pull with choke partially open. Takes a little tweaking, but nothing that is a real problem. Ran it for 4-5 hours, alternately on LPG and gasoline. Then changed the oil and stashed away until later. I tried different loads with it: typical space heater - works fine one notch below max load, hand disk saw - no issues, miter saw - fine, sawzall - fine. I expect anything that can be plugged in a 15 amp outlet to run without issues. Next, I downloaded NIOSH noise meter app and started playing with different loads on the generator. No load, from 10 ft away - 68 dB, half-load (space heater on med) - 74 dB, full load - 77 dB. From inside the house on half-load it sounds like your neighbor is mowing his lawn. Which may be okay, if it is not 6 am on Saturday. I like this generator, and it is probably as good as it gets, but don't be fooled by "it's quiet 53 dB" claims. If you run it under load and stand next to it - it sounds like a lawnmower, no less. UPDATE. Got to use it for three days during power outage and it was a life saver. I have two fridges and a chest freezer in the garage. This unit could power them all, as long as they don't kick in simultaneously. Absolutely LOVE to run it on propane. Smooth, no gasoline stink, and no hassle with 5 gallons of fuel available without interruption. Gasoline is a different story. I was using no-ethanol super premium gas with stabilizer. Still having some issues with stalling and hesitation. Running it a little rich (chocking just a bit) seems to make it more stable. My choice - just forget the gas and keep some spare tanks of propane.

Great generator at a decent price
This is a good product in terms of price, noise level and reliability. I personally recommend the Champion dual fuel 2000w model that has the EZ start option (model 100402) over the version with the manual start option. The EZ start model is a little bit bigger, heavier and more expensive. However, it's much easier to start. For example, I have both versions (manual and EZ start) and my wife is not able to get the manual version started. If you have any concerns about ease of use, then I highly recommend the 100402 model. However, you should note that even the easy start version requires pulling a cord several times to get started. It's cannot be started with only the push of a single button. If you want a generator that starts with the turn of a key and/or the push of a button, then this is not the model for you. With that said, it's really easy to start this generator with the turn of a dial and a few pulls of the cord.

Didn't work, bad design, poor customer service.
I tried to start with propane and it would not start. Tried to get the spark plug out to check it, but a normal socket would not fit it because the plug housing did no allow enough room to get the socket on the plug. This is really poor design if you can't even get the spark plug out. I tried their 24/7 help line, but they never answered and did not return my call. I returned this one and got another one from home depot and it too would not start with propane. I did not try it with gasoline, but I did not want to deal with that mess, which is why I bought this model. It was light weight and claimed to be quiet and seemed perfect for emergencies. This was big disappointment. Didn't work, bad design, poor customer service.
