Swad Chutney Coriander 7.5 Ounce (Pack of 3)

Utter flavor. Like spring and affection had a baby, it tastes like a smile. What can I say? Hard to describe. If you like cilantro, you are really going to like this. I stir it into rice, I eat it with eggs, I've been known to eat it with a spoon. So sue me. Great taste, super flexible in its uses.

This product is hard to find and I was delighted to see it available through a seller on Amazon. I don't like sweet condiments and this is savory. The three glass jars arrived fast and at a very reasonable price.

This item arrived on time and intact except the lids were not completely tight on 2 of the jars. A little fluid leaked into the bubble package they were in, but none escaped into the box. Maybe some packing tape should be used to secure the lids on each jar.

This is a delicious product but needs to be packaged more carefully. I knew something was wrong as soon as I saw the box because the chutney had leaked out through the cardboard. To be clear, the jars were not broken. The lids on all three jars came loose and spilled chutney into the box. I don't know if someone didn't tighten the jar lids well prior to shipping, or if they came loose in transit. This is a problem that could easily have been averted with a few pieces of tape or more attention to detail. It's sad to have to throw away three jars of chutney, but with the jars unsealed, it doesn't feel safe to eat. Amazon has said to dispose of them. We may order this from a different vendor and see if we have better luck.

I love this chutney! It has a surprisingly fresh cilantro and citrus flavor. It has some heat from chili peppers, but it’s not searing- just enough to give it a little kick. It’s great on so many things. I use it on sandwiches, with any meat, in soups, almost anything except desserts, of course. If you want to mute the flavor a little, just mix it with a little mayonnaise or sour cream. If you have a good Indian market near you, you can buy it for much lower than the Amazon price, but if not, it’s still worth Amazon’s price and it arrives quickly and very well packed.

The chutney is delicious but buyer beware! Three bottles are wrapped as a threesome in bubble wrap, not individually. If the package is dropped the bottles can break each other as a result. No further bubble wrap was used and the box was the new lightweight box, not for glass! Food is not returnable even when item is broken as mine was. Not happy with this …

I have used this product for years but local stores no longer seem to carry it.
