it seems like a huge fire hazard
The lamps have cardboard around the base of the light bulb that cannot be removed. This seems crazy to me, every time I turn the lamp on, it seems like a huge fire hazard.

It's a beautiful addition to our living room
It's a beautiful addition to our living room, simple and elegant. Easy assembly in about 2 minutes (but be careful when removing from box so not to leave a mess) and sits quite steady.
