Panasonic has evidently been interfacing with users to provide features that are really REALLY handy. And the whole product is top quality. I love that I can easily block up to 250 numbers, handy with all the political polling and advertising this year. Not only do they not get through, but this phone can be set up to not even ring when a blocked caller dials in. And - you can block a range of numbers, a whole zip code, calls without identifiers, etc. Very versatile. It has a silent mode feature that keeps calls from ringing or making any other noise whatsoever as they go directly to the answering machine. Set it up for any time period during the day when you don't want to be disturbed by calls, and you won't be. (If you have certain numbers that you want to get through regardless, you can provide for them.) Every feature I have dealt with has worked flawlessly. The sound quality is excellent. The flexibility it offers on so many things can't be beat. The instruction manual takes a little getting used to, but I have managed to set up this system exactly as I want it to function. I have the model that includes one handset, and I also find the handset intuitive to use and possessing great sound quality. This phone works like Panasonic read my mind.

On just the phone by itself, it would’ve gotten five stars. But let me explain what happened and how unsatisfactory the resolution was.I am visually impaired and this phone was highly recommended because it is so easy to use, see, and hear when it announces who’s calling. The color available was perfect for the space I’m using it in. So I saved up my money and I purchased it. When it arrived, we eagerly got it out of the box and set it up. However, there were no rechargeable batteries for the cordless phone that came with it. For three weeks I contacted Amazon several times a week, sometimes even several times a day. No one would send me the batteries. They wanted me to return the phone. I didn’t want to return the phone because there were only a handful in this particular color and I didn’t want to get a different color. Finally after three weeks and who knows how many different people I spoke to, I finally asked for two different supervisors. They gave me a 10% discount on the phone, which didn’t cover the cost of the rechargeable batteries I had to buy. I also ended up buying two different sets of batteries and had to send one back because it said it would fit in the phone and it did not. So, I gave it less stars for my trouble. As long as everything comes in the box like it should, this is a great phone to purchase.

With my old phone, I was getting about 6-12 sales call per hour during the day. Calls start at 7:45 AM and keep on coming until 9:00 PM. I've asked them nicely not to call, but they just call back again and again. Mostly for solar energy, home improvement, people saying my computer was infected with virus, and people wanting to buy a house in my local area for all cash...You Can't win. I gave up on answering the phone, and people who want to talk to me cannot get through.Update==> Didn't realize it, but the same people were calling me all day long. Asking them nicely to be taken off the list just seems to encourage the call centers to keep calling. The number of spam calls is down dramatically. This phone is money well spend just for the call blocking feature alone. I am not sure how many numbers I have blocked, but it's working good for now. Alos, the speaker phone works well as I can hear people clearly.But there are two problems with this system:1 These guys are spoofing other people's numbers, so what if someone who actually owns that number wants to call me?2 250 blocked numbers will not be enough.

I bought this telephone about a month ago through Amazon, and could not be more pleased with it. I charged the batteries for the portable unit, and within a few minutes, I had base and portable unit connected, and working perfectly. I frequently use the portable unit out on the patio, and do not detect any loss of power or audio quality. With my previous telephone sitting on a metal desk (near the computer), it had much noise - even with telephone line noise reducer installed. Immediately after connecting, I called several friends, and noted their voices were very clear and no noise, and asked for their assessment. All confirmed my voice was very clear and no noise. Several have since commented that my “call back recording” is very clear. The large screen is great – at a glance, the date, time, and basic menu is super. I love the call block button! I have received several compliments on the color of the unit – a far cry from white or dull black! I have previously owned Panasonic telephones, and consequently, I am confident this unit will outlast me. I would highly recommend this telephone.

just bought this used like new but it arrived with non working batteries in cordless which means I either buy batteries to see if that solves the incessant beeping or return it. I got it for 30 used like new with box to save ten dollars which is the cost of the batteries. At the time I bought it, the new sets with corded base and cordless handset were $40 but now I see they've doubled the price to $80 for new weeks later. I want to like this phone it has some good features. The dial tone does sound tinny and sound overall is so so to fine I'd say. Will you kindly send me working batteries Panasonic so I can keep this phone and not return it?I will update this review if problem is corrected. thanks!EDIT June 1, 2023I bought the batteries and the cordless is doing the same beeping once fully charged and resting on the base. Usually with any phone you can use the base without beeping at all. Why is it beeping? I don't want to have to not use the base stand because it beeps when set on it. This is not a case of faulty batteries. Is there a way to turn that off? Panasonic please help and there is no option for asking questions on this product. Do other users of this phone have this issue?
