Really good tea, and a lot of it!
My package arrived quickly-three days after order was placed. All four bags had stamped on them when tea was packaged by the producer and "best by" dates. These are not short-dated; the "best by" date is well into late next year and beyond. Each bag was well-sealed and in perfect condition. I'm entirely new to Turkish tea-my Mom (who is Tex-Mex) caught wind of it and wanted to experience it. I felt getting this assortment was the best way to authentically do just that. I think I was right! The tea producer printed instructions in English, among other languages, right on all the bags. No wonder the tea packages are generous-you need a lot of tea to make the concentrate! I'm no tea expert, let alone snob, but to this uninitiated American, it's four black teas, each with distinctive flavor characteristics. The turist tea (yellow bag) has the softest mouthfeel and honestly tastes a lot like that ubiquitous American bagged tea in the yellow box, only higher quality and doesn't need to get covered up with sugar. The tea from the black bag is very intense and the most "brisk". The red bag's tea smells really good (uniquely earthy-a lot of character) and is also intense in flavor; less astringent than the black. The pink bag is my favorite; it smells almost sweet in its package, and is straight-down-the-middle balanced with a unique, flavorful finish that kind of says, "Greetings from Turkey!" lol. All of the teas are delicious, though differently. Prepared according to package instructions, I didn't need to add sugar to any of them. Space being scarce in my kitchen, I used a double boiler to prepare the tea rather than get a Turkish double-decker tea kettle. Make sure the water you use is NOT lime softened. If you don't know how your municipality treats it's water, seek out your annual water report-it will tell you. Even if your tap water isn't lime softened, run it through a filter anyway to get rid of chlorine/chloramines present. Or get no-frills bottled water (never distilled!) as you steep your way through these four ample bags of tea. Your local grocer's house brand will do. I'm grateful to the seller for making this available and happy with purchase. If you're interested in getting Turkish tea, you won't go wrong with this.

excellent turkish tea
this collection presents a very nice selection of different varieties of turkish tea.. although the taste difference might be too subtle for people who are not used to making and drinking tea in the turkish way, joy is guaranteed in each type. just make sure that you cook the tea according to the directions on the package.and remember that it's very important to keep the packages away from sunlight and air-tight once opened to preserve freshness. so best is to open one at a time..afiyet olsun!* :)*bon appetit!

Best, tea, ever.
This tea is so good! Be sure you have a fine mesh strainer or appropriate tea strainer to use it. But get this. It is lovely.
