Great little chain tool, easy to fit in handle bars no would no it’s their.

I really like the granite stash systems I have the chain tool, plug kit and rachet system all hidden in my cockpit. Great for the emergencies when your still miles from home.But beware on several occasions when I needed either plug kit or chaintool, using them hidden under close end grips ( Dmr death grips) the Allan key hole on the tools it's filled with hard plastic from the grips. So hard you can't dig it out on the trails unless you cary a very sharp knife. I've had to use a stanely blade at home and it's take some good effort to clear the plastic from hole ( I know I couldnt Beleive it either the first time but after the third time I did) my solution now is I wrap 2 layers of electrical tape over the Allan key hole before the grip. Strange issue but it's happened multiple times and death grips are pretty popular.

I used this once. Worked fine. Used it second time it snapped. I am about to go on a long trip so glad i found it now. I will stick with my bulky traditional chain breaker in future

I purchased this for a road bike so was looking to install it in the bottom bracket space.This does not fit Shimano hollowtech 2 bottom brackets, it just pops out.Turning the rubber bung around helped but I wouldn't trust it on a ride.I'd wait for a version 2 or look at something else.

I have been looking for a chain tool to carry with me for some time, and when this showed up in my suggestions it seemed to be what I was looking for. The compact design, the good look and the practical storage solution made it a no brainer to buy it.Once it arrived, swapping out the bar end plug and fitting the tool in place took just a couple of minutes, and I didn't think any more about it, hoping I will not need to use it. However, on my third ride out a rattle started developing in the handlebars, which I first thought was in the right hand side brifter. However, try as I might, I could not see what in the brifter might be rattling. It finally dawned on me that I had put the chain splitter in that side, and sure enough, when I removed it, I could see that the side arm rattles when screwed in the storage location, making noise against the body. The solution was to add padding to the hole, and now the rattle is gone. I'd advise you do the same before installation if you buy this tool.As to its use as a chain splitter, I haven't had to use it yet, and I hope that's the case for a long time.

This product stores away neatly but is very easily broken. I have only used it twice and the bolt that removes the chain pin snapped. Didn’t stop me buying another.

This was a gift, broke on first use. Recipient was not please and neither am I. Poor quality for price!!

Looks nice and solid, with holes to hold spare links. Could do with an integral clip to hold chain while using.
