Easy Read; LOTS of helpful info

I enjoyed reading this clear amd well written book about raising a cat. Easy to read. Well organized. I would recommend to those who are thinking about getting a kitten.

This book has so much helpful information, and my husband and I have been using it as our first go to whenever either of us has a question about a particular behavior or question with concerning our two cats. It's also been super helpful for my sister who just got a new kitten and is introducing it to her older cat - tons of great guidelines to follow.

This just arrived yesterday and I'm already a big fan. Not only is it a great quality book, with excellent pictures, it's really well laid out. It has sections on everything from getting a kitten through to looking after your cat in old age. Judging from the extensive resources and reference section at the back it all seems really well thought out and based on the most recent research. I was especially impressed with the troubleshooting section, which seems to cover so much including lots of things I wish I knew when we got our kitten 10 months ago! Could not recommend this highly enough and have already got another copy for a friend!

I chose this cat guide because I was already familiar with Pippa Mattinson's puppy books, and it didn't disappoint! I love how well researched and insightful this book is. All the advice is grounded in scientific research which is cited at the back, but the chapters are easy and friendly to read, and full of relatable anecdotes about the writers' own cats. I hoped this book would help me understand my cat better, and manage some of her less desirable behaviour (I'm looking at you, scratched carpets) and it's given me lots to think about and try at home. I think this book would be indispensable for someone getting their first cat, but it's also really interesting for people (like me) who have been cat owners for a while.

Bought for my 8 year old for how to look after her new kitten but it's really good and I've enjoyed reading it and don't feel the need to get an "adult" book!
