LG 49SM8600 4K SUHD - TV LED [Energy Class A+]

I have had the 55in version of this TV for about 6months. I replaced a 12yr old Panasonic plasma TV + Panasonic DVD Recorder.Initially I was happy with the TV and got a really good deal from AO.COM. However quite quickly I started to have problems with the TV and the support provided by LG customer service. Please let me explain the numerous problems I have had and still have with this TV.1. Sound and voices not in sync with the images on the screen. This has now stopped.2. Recording onto a hard disk does not work. For example, if I record a film the playback stops end of the end of the film. LG customer service said this is a “feature” of the TV and the actual root cause is the TV channel broadcaster. However when I pointed out that my 12yr old Panasonic DVD Recorder never had this problem and that I don’t see why LG cannot overcome this issue with a TV sold in 2020, they said it was a “technical limitation” of the TV.3. Internet access is not reliable. Sites I had accessed for several months suddenly regularly stop working and show an “SSL” error message.4. TV switches off automatically when accessing some websites.5. TV switches off automatically when watching TV on some apps e.g. BBC iPlayer.6. Internet speed is very slow. My network speed in 300mb but TV speed shows roughly 20mb when I do speed test.7. Click wheel in the centre of the remote control failed after about 4 months. The click wheel collapsed into the remote making it almost impossible to use. LG did replace this free of charge but it took about 10days to get new remote.8. TV programme guide consistently does not show ITV1, I have to be on the channel before it shows in the program guide. Then when it does how there are 2 ITV1 lines on the programme guide. Not a big issue but just another sign of how unreliable the TV is.General comments:1) HD and UHD TV pictures are very good but SD is actually no better (sometimes worse) than my old Panasonic TV.2) LG customer service is terrible. I really cannot say anything else on this.I would not recommend buying this TV or any other LG TV’s. I am really concerned about the long term reliability of the TV.Coincidently my relative bought the same TV at the same time this year. He has also had problems with his TV. This adds weight to my recommendation to not buy this TV. Especially LG customer services have put me off buying all LG products.

Ottimo televisore si può registrare su USB e si possono rivedere i programmi dall'inizio già iniziati.

A mia madre, che ancora registra i programmi tv per guardarli in seguito, si è rotto il vecchio videoregistratore su HD e, complice il cambio dello standard di trasmissione, ne ho approfittato per acquistarle un televisore moderno.Purtroppo ho scoperto che, dal 2020, nessun televisore è più in grado di videoregistrare i canali TV (per legge mi è parso di capire) e ho cominciato una estenuante ricerca di un modello meno recente.Ho trovato questo, che alla fine ho pagato molto di più di un modello di quest’anno pur avendo caratteristiche inferiori. Però permette la registrazione per cui amen.La qualità costruttiva è ottima, il telecomando direzionale anche. Però il rapporto prezzo-prestazioni è stato terribile.
