The Thankful Book

Great book for 1-5 age.

This book is perfect for the pre-K- 2nd grade classroom and can be used as a writing prompt afterwards!

Purchased as a gift fir my grandchildren. I’m a retired public school educator and feel this book should be in every child’s library!

Cute book on beating thankful!

I detest the irrational colors of this book. But my 3-year old thought this book was fantastic, especially after he saw a picture of the author’s dogs on the back and learned one was named Tater Tot. We didn’t put this book away until Christmas. The message is great. Just those colors...ouch!

Now, a retired kindergarten teacher, I first ran into a Todd Parr book by accident. The title: The Dos and Don'ts of Underwear.It became the most requested book in both sections of kdgn. The kids loved the book and laughed out loud everytime I read it. His style and kid-like drawings were a hit. I now have/own all of his books and just recently bought: The Thankful Book.It is delightful and ALL can relate to the subject matter. I have given away numerous copies of The Grandma Book and TheGrandpa Book to friends having their first grandchild. Don't hesitate! All of Todd Parr's books are GREAT and a starting pointfor discussions and writing a book of your own!

I wish they had this book when I was growing up. This book and other Todd Parr books teach the reader emotional lessons that are critical for anyone to develop into a functional, emotionally non reactive adult. If you are an adult and weren't prepared properly to be an adult by your parents, it's not too late- read Todd Parrs book.Always an emotional and meaningful experience for me when I read these books, they hit a lot of sore spots, but they get through to me each and every time!

better as a hardcover book. Kids like to sit in your lap to read picture books. I got it for work where I read books on a projector to a large class.

This is the perfect book to read before thanksgiving. I read it to my kindergarten class and we talked about all the things we were thankful for.

Shared this with my grade 3 students and they loved it! Todd Parr is an excellent author and illustrator with books that are modern, and also handle different contemporary situations in a very mature way, such as same sex marriage, single parents, and other unique situations. Very impressed with his tact.
