Mares Ergo Splash Snorkel for Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, Freediving with Semi-Dry Top, Anti-Splash System, Silicone Mouthpiece

We bought two of these. One fell off the mount and we lost it in the ocean. After that experience, we zip tired the other one to our mask. The mount doesn't secure the snorkel but the snorkel works well. It's easy to clear.

I like it. Was easy to pack on a recent trip. It is comfortable in the mouth and didn't seem to tire my jaw. The tube is very flexible. The only thing I noticed was it seemed a little (just a little) more difficult to clear completely than what I'm used to but not a big deal. (Just meter your next breath in) The value for this is great and I'd buy it again without hesitation.

I had no issues with leaks. The mouthpiece is comfortable and the purge worked fine. I would agree with the other reviewer who said that the clip to attach it to your mask could be better. I found it a bit difficult to attach on and off the mask to store in my suitcase (for travelling between areas).

This snorkel takes on a lot of water. I think it’s too short. Maybe it works in a calm swimming pool, but it gets you nowhere good when you’re in the ocean with wind or even little waves.

Very comfortable and good for scuba or snorkel. Mouthpiece and hose is soft silicone and will drop away from face if using for scuba. This is exactly like the Mares Ergo Dry without the "dry" pivot closure mechanism at top. Exhaust valve at bottom is easy to clear and no flutter or whistle when inhaling/exhaling. The mask keeper attachment supplied is just "okay" (I used a split ring attachment from another snorkel that stays connected to my mask and allows quick disconnect when stowing)
