Works great for peeling bark off of a Lodgepole Pine log

I thought it would be difficult, but it's not. Could be the tree I'm shaving. Or it could be this draw knife. Either way, at least for THIS tree, I love it.

Best thing my husband got to help him debark wood attached is the tree from a river debarked by this product and finished. Handle is great, durable, ease to use, size perfect, edge is perfect and performance is great.

What a great find. I ordered not really knowing what to expect. It’s perfect. I use it for stripping bark off 4” or so branches to make walking sticks and other items. I’m not super strong and was concerned it would be too difficult , but nope. It’s beveled perfectly and very sharp. Just had to learn the right pressure and angle to use. Didn’t take long to become sn expert with it. So happy with my new “tool”!

Good for my use but a little heavy

This is well made and cuts the bark off with a few easy passes. Using it to debark logs and make a little structure on the property. It fits well in your hands and the blade is sharp from the start.

It works. It strips the bark off this oak log I have. But, it's painful. I ended up dipping wooden handles in the rubber tool handle stuff to dampen the blow on my palms. Was only able to do 10 minutes at a time but now can do 20-30 minutes. Wasn't impressed with paint job, covering over the sharp edge at spots, chipping off already in others etc. But it works. Didn't fall apart. And feels plenty sturdy enough to hold up to the job at hand.
