Excellent Image Quality, cheaper than IP film, acts like original polaroid film, dev time is 90 seconds, yes you can shake it!
I love this camera - I am a photographer and have used many a camera - lately been using polaroid spektra and 600 cameras with Impossible project polaroid film for my art work and also been giving them to kids to take shots with on road trips... they love it. I am I admit attached to the iconic polaroid format, but I decided to try this camera because of the large frame size and the beautiful design. I LOVE IT sofar and need to get the case....only wish they made black and white film for it - hello !? Why not.... PROS This camera is sharper than the older polaroid cameras (except spektra and land cameras). Very sharp - love it Nice selfie close up attachment, sharp, with mirror so you can see what's in the frame Love the design - looks like a real older camera, but is light and smart looking (not like a pink cartoon kid camera like the others). BEST PRO: The colors and development time, as well as the properties of the film is very similar to OLD polaroid film and other peel apart Fuji polaroid film (the kind they just stopped making that worked with land cameras shame on you fuji!). It develops IN sunlight, in 90 seconds and is very sharp, with lovely 1980's yellow midtones, just beautiful tonal range and colors with excelletn sharpness. Very contrasty and colorful. Impossible Project film by contrast takes 30 minutes to develop and requires being upside down and being held out of light. It is also not as contrasty as this and I have tried all kinds (b and w is good though). I have one more pro: The film is way cheaper than Impossible Project film, thinner like the old polaroid film, but has the same glossy finish. Nice large image area! Love the image area, so much better than the mini instax. Love the old leather case designs. CONS Why is there no black and white version of the film!?? Fuji please get on this ASAP The format - for fine art use, the connotations of the square polaroid frame are imbedded into western and non western popular culture in ways that are hard to undo now - think Andy Warhol's polaroids now worth in the 5 and 6 figures, classic family snaps, the frame proportion is reused again and again to connote (snapshot) . I WISH they made the same format as the square 660 or the spektra format. Even if the bottom part was proportioned slightly longer, higher, that would work. I guess the rectangle is very rectangle, almost cinematic..... Camera is a tiny bit large - but ok by me.

i love my instax wide more than my instax minis.
i already had two of fujifilm's instax cameras: the mini 8 and mini 90. while each instax has their perks, i think the wide is my favorite (i might be a little biased since i just got it and it feels so shiny and new). there are two forms for the lens: 0.9mm - 3m or 3m to infinity. this is great because closeup pictures will be in focus and scenery pictures will also be in focus. the package also came with an attachable lens for closeups so you can easily make sure the subject of the picture is centered (and you can also take selfies with it ahah). i was surprised by how large the camera itself is. to put it frankly, IT'S HUGE. it's actually the size of my face, and it's bulky. not axactly the type of camera you'd like to keep in your purse in case a picturesque moment comes up. BUT, the pictures come out much clearer than the minis and are more enjoyable. the size of the pictures makes it seem like a ~real~ polaroid camera as opposed to the minis that feel very... mini. when going to events like parties or concerts or meet-ups or signings or whatever, this camera is a must. it's also the perfect travel buddy (i'd think) depsite the inconvenient and bulky size. the minis are more for casual events. but if you asked me to choose only one, i'd choose the instax wide over both the mini 8 and mini 90. before opening, i recommend reading the manual on how to set it up. the camera uses four AA batteries and the battery slot had a strap of plastic that seemed to be in the way of things. i thought the strap needed to be removed in order to put the batteries in, and so i forced the thing out. by the very end, i decided to read the manual and it turned out the strap was meant to help remove the batteries in the future. (fail fail fail. so much fail.) so yeah, DON'T DO WHAT I DID. i was too eager and ended up sorta messing up the camera.

Double the size of an instax mini’s film.
Love the size & picture quality is the same as the instax mini’s film. It’s cute but bigger than I imagined.

Great camera
Taking pictures with this camera is an experience in its own! It is very easy to take pictures with it until it gets darker and you have to really pay attention to what you are doing. Every picture that comes out looks great even if it was under/overexposed. Most pictures come out great though, and the camera handles most lighting situiations fine. The camera is easy to use; to take a picture you can simply turn it on and shoot a picture without dealing with any settings! One thing to remember is that it tends to take photos at a slightly wider angle than the viewfinder sees. The viewfinder is also independent and doesn't see exactly what the lens sees, but it does not seem to affect picture taking besides leaving open the opportunity to accidentally have something in the way of the lens without seeing it. The camera comes with a macro-like lens that attaches on the lens to make the focus distance about 15-22 inches (which is pretty much one arm's length away). The regular focus distance has two settings: .9m-3m and 3m-infinity. It is easy to use and adjust, but it gets easy overlooked and can produce out of focus pictures. I recommend getting the Khanka EVA Hard Case Travel Carrying Bag for Fujifilm Instax Wide 300 / 210 Instant Film Photo Camera. Mesh Pocket for Fujifilm Instax Wide Film Twin Pack - Black camera case for it since it is protective and holds extra photos.

Purchased to use as part of my guest book, and it’s awesome! Very easy initial set up and the photo quality is great. Much better than the mini cameras I’ve used. I bought a 100 pack of film. Great for guest books, art projects, or fun for a night with friends!

I have bought this camera but the flash is not working. Used half of the instant film, followed instructions but the flash is just not working. Disappointed.
