Durable smooth derailleur.
Shifts smooth even under load on uphill climbs and durable. Mine has taken some hits, but still functions perfectly.

Strong, precise and reliable
Shimano's quality on this XT derailleur is simply excellent. Very precise, smooth and strong...I'd say that it takes much more abuse than the XTR ones. the only thing is that you have to do some maintenance on the clutch, make sure to clean it once in a while and put some waterproof grease on it (Check out for the instructions on Youtube).

Great drivetrain, plan ahead, finicky
I updated from SLX 11-speed to XT 12-speed. When it's dialed in, it's fantastic: fast and crisp shifts, great gearing on the 10-45. But it's finicky. Make sure to follow setup instructions carefully. Chain length, b-screw adjustment, hanger alignment, and cable adjustment are very important. Maybe it's just cable stretch and break-in, but so far it requires way more adjusting than my previous 11-speed setup on the same bike.

Xt, nice extras over slx
The Shimano derailleur is easy to set up and this one is too. Nice having bearings instead of bushing in the jockey wheels and an external clutch adjustment is nice. Flawless out of the box, highly recommend.
