SWIPE Premium Men's 6-Blade Razor Refills (12) (No Trimmer)

I believe these razors are the best available on the market, independent of cost, but the cost is a significant bonus! I have spent years looking for razors to replace our favorite razors that they used to sell at Sam’s Club as the “generic” version of the Gillette razors. The Sam’s Club razors were decently priced, had 6 blades plus a 7th single blade on the flip side, were super high quality, felt solid in your hand, had a tilting head, didn’t cause cuts, lasted forever, and never, ever seemed to rust (which is crucial for females who leave their razors in the shower)! I tried Harry’s, others and many more expensive options, but nothing seemed to compare to the quality—especially given the price! Harry’s seemed to rust within a day or two. Another reviewer said he was searching for the Sam’s razors too and would swear these were the same, so I gave it a try! If Swipe wasn’t the manufacturer of the Sam’s razors, I’d be shocked! These SWIPE razors have the great quality I was looking for and a low price to boot! BUY THESE RAZORS! No matter if you are male or female, if you are shaving your face, legs, body, back, neck, or other places, you will NOT be disappointed! Thank you, SWIPE! I have tried virtually every blade on the market. I was a Gillette Fusion Pro user forever and was a big fan.....of everything but their price. I rationalized the high price of their blades by their longevity. I would get a month from their blades when I touched them up a few times a month with my blade buddy sharpener. I then tried DSC, Harry's etc. They were fine, but definitely could not get 4 weeks out of them. I got the Swipe 24 blade package with handle for $30.00. I get the absolute best shave ever. I didn't think that sixth blade in the cartridge would make a difference, but it does....It doesn't take me less time to shave, but my shave is definitely closer. I don't know how they make money at this price point -- must be razor thin margins (ok that was a bad joke). The bar has been set to a new level, IMO. If I had one nit picky criticism, it would be the handle. I would prefer a handle that is about 1 inch longer and a bit less narrow. Their handle's dimensions are pretty standard across all brands, but Gillette has a power version (vibrating) of their handle which has these larger dimensions - to accommodate a AA battery --- I personally prefer these dimensions as its easier to hold and manipulate in my hand when shaving......But like I said, that is my one nit pick.

I am happy to announce that these blades connect seamlessly to the original Dollar Shave Club handle. The blades feel high quality and I doubt these blades are going to let me down. Additionally, it is cheaper to purchase the blades here rather than Dollar Shave Club's official website. This leads me to another thought. I've noticed a few YouTubers around promoting Dollar Shave Club for bread. If you are looking to donate to your YouTuber of choice via the Dollar Shave Club affiliate link, do so by only allowing the first months payment (about $5) to go through. Then, cancel the subscription before it renews at the normal rate (around $25.) If you need new blades, purchase these. If you need face moistening accessories, those can easily be found on this glorious website. Once you show interest. Amazon will do it's best to remind you that these products exist. I LOVED these razor blades. They are excellent and are a great price. Recently, I re-ordered a replacement and was surprised to see that different looking razor blades were provided. (Sorry that the blade on the left is a used one but this is what these blades have always looked like - and they work really well)! The blade on the right is what the new ones that they are sending look like now. At first I thought, okay, so they changed the look of them and they are white now but that's no big deal. EXCEPT, no, these new white blades are GARBAGE. I took one "swipe" on my face and when I tried to do another they didn't work at all. The new white blades get "gunked up" immediately when you try to use them. I had to run water over them and use my finger to clean the blade before I could attempt another "swipe." On my second "swipe," the same thing happened. Like, immediately. The blade gets jammed up with shaving cream and hair basically right away and become unusable until you clean them with not just running water but your finger for like 10 seconds. I had to literally clean the blade EVERY single time I tried to use it. These new white blades are JUNK. Sellers on Amazon should be held to a higher standard and send you the item that they show in their listing. This is essentially false advertising. It's a real shame too because I really liked this company and I really liked their blades. I have recommended them to many people. No longer. They need to update their listing immediately and show these crappier white blades if that is what they are going to be sending customers. Shame on them. Buyer beware.

Several reviews have said the SWIPE is a better razor than Gillette's Mach 5 (5-bladed) razor. I would not go quite that far - the Mach 5 is an excellent razor. Both the SWIPE 6-blade and the Mach 5 provide closer shaves than a twin-blade razor, and better than any electric razor I have used. In addition, each lasts longer than a twin-blade razor, and provides a closer shave than 3, 4, and other 5-blade razors I have tried.. From my perspective, the contest for best razor is too close to call. If the Mach 5 cartridges ever becomes less expensive than SWIPE-6's, I would switch back to Mach 5. Since Mach 5 is Gillette's premier shaving product, the one they want younger men to buy when they settle into to a job that provides ample discretionary income, I expect the price to remain high for the foreseeable future. I will gratefully be shaving with the SWIPE 6-blade razor for many years to come. Here is a tip to extend the life and get a more comfortable shave from either of these excellent razors: If you skip a day or more shaving, keep an electric razor around and use it to mow down heavy beard growth before you bring out your SWIPE-6 or Mach 5. Shaving heavy beards is tough on single- and multi-blade razors, and I have found that an electric with reasonably fresh blades pulls less on heavy facial hair. But if you don't want a 5-o'clock shadow by noon, shave again with your SWIPE 6-blade afterward. Ladies, having shaved with a women's razor a few times in a pinch, I am confident that the only difference between men's and women's razors is the packaging. You should feel free to try men's razors like this one, and not be concerned with the gender on the label, or the label anyone attaches to the razor you prefer. Happy trails!

These razors are so nice I have a lot of trouble shaving because my hair is very baby fine and I have to use six blade razors and a lot of them don't even pick up my hair to shave it off these work so awesome I get a really clean shave and I love them I love you purchasing them regularly I'm very pleased super happy I found them because they are so affordable and the quality is that of a very very expensive blade.

UPDATE: 5 YEARS LATER. This razor is sooo much better than others I have tried. The handle is easy to use and never slips out of my hand. Its 2 months later and I'm still using the original blade, and it still feels like a new one. The fact that the price is better makes for a truly compelling purchase for me. The fact that they don't spend many millions of dollars on marketing and advertising really helps in keeping the price reasonable. This product may have a slower growth curve but you can't beat word of mouth. TIP: From experience I have learned that the blade lasts almost twice as long IF I use my blow dryer to make sure the blades are dry before putting it away. The metal blades oxidize (rust) pretty quickly if left wet and that makes for a rough shave pretty quickly. Try taking a close look with a magnifying glass if you are curious.

These are fairly acceptable enough for my every other day shave. I do have to go over my neck area several times in a few places As this does not always clear everything on the first go. I have not had any nicks yet so that is a positive. Decent value for the amount of blades you get, so should last me a good amount of time before I need to replenish.
