This is a simple wire cheese cutter. Just like the one we used in the 1950s. If you are looking for flash or state of the art with Hey Siri, compatibility, look for something else. If you want a basic cheese cutter that works every time and cleans easily at a fair cost, this is what you are looking for!

Unlike those cheap roller slicers that have cutting wires attached by screws that inevitably loosen, leaving you with a slack wire, the tension of the handle's design ensures the wire remains taught for a smooth end even cut every time.

Primary purpose for cutting cheese as an accessory to cutting board fabricated in my shop.

I liked the product but the wire snapped after the 3rd or 4th use.

I got this specifically to quarter hard boiled eggs and it does a great job. No more smearing of yolk, nice clean cuts.

The wire broke easily and rather soon even while being careful of its seemingly fragile nature and of course after the return window. Sadly the wire is not replaceable. In the end, it isn't worth the money or effort to use on cheese than can have varying textures and firmness that can challenge the fragile non-replaceable wire.

Item is a great replacement for a vintage slicer that I used to use at my cousins house! Only thing would be that the wire could be replaced if damaged or broken. Will buy again!

The cheese wire its self worked well and was wide enough to help in breaking down food service sized blocks of cheese. unfortunately the wire broke on its first day of use, after cutting about 10-12 lbs. of semi-soft cheese. While OK for occasional home use, this wire was not up to serious bulk cheese cutting. I was disappointed.
