Samsung Valve - Water V - 1245N Part # Dc62-30312J

It was a simple replacement I was able to complete in 15 minutes. It’s been working great.

OEM fit, works two years later. Save yourself hundreds of dollars on specialist labor by watching a repair video. Glad I bought it at $21 when I did.

When I opened the package the water valve had been previously installed. 1) There is black residual stuff all over the plastic parts of the valve. 2) Scuff marks on the electrical contacts along from prior installation. 3) Residual build up towards the back side of the electrical contacts. 4) The threads for the water lines are not the same as OEM. The original valve has a 3/4" std hose threads, these replacements are 3/4” fine thread.

Pop in replacement, works great two months in. Clean laundry at a very decent price! My fuse on my control board also blew when this element went out, so had to replace it as well. Not a replaceable part on my Samsung, but I dug out the protective covering and soldered one in and good as new. Fuses available on Amazon as well if this is your issue. Get the pigtail ones.

Our 8 year old Samsung washer was showing the OE error and overfilling, even when unplugged from power. The only way to stop the water was to use the washer’s shut off valve. We diagnosed the issue with a video from “Bearded Appliance Repair” on YouTube. Look up the video to see troubleshooting and install instructions for this exact part. Install was easy, and took all of 5 minutes while following the video. We did have to tighten a quarter turn extra to prevent leaks. The part seems to be the same quality and fits the same as the OEM part we removed. This $70 part completely solved our issue, and is half the price of the appliance repair company’s callout fee alone. Hopefully it lasts us another 8 years.

Works just as the original, easy install. The design of the valve is questionable as I am replacing it on a machine that is only a few months old. The cause was due to freezing temperatures where my washer was located. The water line froze and this part was the weak link. Keep your laundry room above freezing and never push against or tug the inlet valve or attached water line and it should work fine long term.

Bought this and was installed professionally. Two months later it breaks. Extremely upset over this. These aren’t cheap!

I mean it fits right where the old was, very simple. Can’t speak for longevity but about a year in and no issues. Minimal diy skills saved me a few hundred on a service call I’m sure. Make sure it’s the model you need and you’re all set.

Samsung washer kept showing the OE code. It kept overfilling. My wife troubleshooted and determined this was the part we needed. Part came yesterday, replaced it within minutes and our washer no longer throws out the OE code. Runs full cycle, life is back to normal!

There was no problem putting it back together. Easy and cheap repair. Just happy!
