Hola! HM-21 Soprano Ukelele - Light Blue
I purchased two of these...one for a lady friend and one for myself. While I play guitar, neither of us play ukelele, so I included a beginner's ukelele book & a Snark tuner for my friend. As I am a complete novice on ukelele, I am unsure how to compare this to other ukes. The HM-21 is an inexpensive, entry-level, Soprano ukelele. It seems well constructed, and is finished in a lovely, and very glossy, light blue that is very close in appearance to "Tiffany" blue. It was the color that made me select this particular uke for my lady friend, as she loves Tiffany's and her 2010 Harley Heritage is painted Tiffany blue & white. The fretboard and bridge are rosewood, and it has geared machines. I am unsure what brand strings were included, so I plan to replace them with a set of Aquila's as these seem to get rave reviews for sound quality. Something I have noticed about the entry-level ukes - they are so inexpensive that, even if you don't play them, they make for nice wall ornaments.

I LOVE this ukulele
I LOVE this ukulele! So I started this journey of buying a ukulele with my 2 year-old wanting a hello kitty pink guitar advertised for Christmas in the toy catalogs. I went into one of the big box stores, tried one out and knew instantly it was a piece of junk. Those things do not hold a tune to save their lives. The Hello Kitty guitar was on sale for 29.99. This lead me to researching the ukulele, this is a great string instrument for anyone- of any age! It has 4 strings, sturdily made, and it holds a tune! Even after my daughter aggressively strums this thing over and over. I love it for myself, after 9 years of playing guitar I find this instrument so much fun, and much easier to play than the guitar. Pros: 1. Very portable- so small you can throw it in your purse/bag to take it anywhere you want 2. Well made- holds a tune like a champ and can take a mini-beating from a 2 year old! 3. Easy to play- C chord with only one finger people? AWESOME! 4. ADORABLE! I put on a couple of removable hello kitty stickers for my little girl and she is in love! I peel them off when I want to use it. Cons: 1. NONE- it's $35 and it holds a tune compared to the junk you can find at crap-mart. 2. My daughter and I fight over this, I need to buy a second one for myself! Overall: Get this ukulele for your 2-99 year-old! It is a fantastic instrument and great for any new 'musician' or us older musicians who have been playing for a long time but would like to have something new and easy to learn!

Great little uke!
I bought this uke after wanting to learn to play for a couple of years. I couldn’t bring myself to spend a lot, because I didn’t know if I would like it or stick with it. Can I just say that it is one of the most fun instruments I have ever learned to play? Not only that, but it’s very easy to play a few songs right away. This ukulele gave me everything I wanted/needed without a high price tag. I highly recommend this uke! I love the color choices, and it comes with good strings. My strings were pretty loose upon arrival, but that was expected. After tightening and tuning for a few days, the strings were better at holding their tune. After owning it for a month or so, the strings really keep their tune pretty well. I have another ukulele (concert size), which I like very much, but I usually reach for this one first. It has a good sound and just feels nice to hold.

but a ukelele is much more affordable and a great way to start
Got this ukelele because I decided to learn how to play. I've always wanted a lute, but a ukelele is much more affordable and a great way to start, plus I thought it might be a good lead up to learn how to play the guitar I've had since I was 12! Haha. First off, I got the purple one, and I must say the color was absolutely beautiful. The paint finish was really nice, though there's a black smudge that was on it when it arrived, and almost looks like it was in the paint. It doesn't particularly bother me, and the nice shiny finish keeps this minor flaw from tripping me up. The strings are okay, and the sound has unwanted reverb, but I've read this can be changed by changing the strings to aquila instead of the nylon ones that come on the instrument. I purchased a pack when I purchased the instrument but cant' confirm this for certain as I did not change the strings. One comment I read a lot of was that the instrument comes out of tune very fast. This is true. However, if you give the strings a few days to set this problem stops. I've also read, again, that changing the strings can solve this faster. Essentially, though, the strings need to build up tension. Unfortunately, I can't go too much more in depth than this since I know virtually nothing about ukeleles still, but seems like a great enough starter Ukelele to me (:.

Fun, affordable beginner instrument in great colors
This is a very sturdy instrument for the price point. I love that it came with a neck strap and picks. It also came with a bag but I upgraded to one with a bit a padding, and there is also 2 months of free lessons thrown in that I've yet to explore. I had a hard time choosing a color because while I love purple, the natural was beautiful too, they aren't just spray painting over garbage wood. I can't overlook the top quality strings that come with this. I wanted to pick up a second set of strings for my travels and when I called my local music shop, they recommeded the Aquila strings 100%. I'm a newbie to stringed instruments and am thrilled that I found this Uke. You won't be sorry with this purchase and it's a great way to get away from the excessive screen time we find ourselves in these days, even my technology obsessed kiddo wants her turn with my Uke. I forsee another purchase for her in the future =)

I bought this for my 3-year-old grand son and he loves it! It is well constructed so young hands making mistakes are not critical. It stays in tune well and for the price, is quite good for a first instrument. Kids love the bright colors! I bought the pink version for his older sister at the same age, two years ago and their nightly concerts are a joy when I visit! Grandpa can play along with his ukes, as well. They make up songs on the spot so Grace VanderWahl, you can start a trio with these guys in a few years with tons of original songs!

This is a wonderful ukulele bundle ! Comes with a carry case, strap, picks, and even 2 months of free online ukulele lessons . It’s mahogany and comes in some lovely colors , along with the higher end Aguilera nylon gut strings that are the preferred strings for ukuleles. It tunes easily and stays tuned. My son is a beginner, and his music teacher said that it was one of the best sounding quality ukulele’s for the price. I did loads of research before deciding upon this brand, and I was really pleased that I chose it . I Would definitely recommend this ukulele!
