This is the best tool for terminating RJ45 connectors that I have found.

Been using this for work and have terminated hundreds of cat6 cables with this with no problems. Good value, comfortable to hold and quick and easy to use. I will say that the cutting blade on the crimping part that cuts off the pass through wires doesn't always fully cut off the wiring, although that seems to vary based on the brand of head that I am using, which is common among all crimpers when you mix off brand heads into the mix.

I haven't used the tool yet but plan to run some new cat 6 cable for a project in the next few months. The tool looks like it will meet my needs.

This is the first time I have crimped my own ethernet connectors and was surprised how easy it was. This tool is built sturdy and performed as described. Highly recommend it for the novice or the pro!!

This tool is great at the crimps but having a little trouble with it unlocking when done and haven't figured out how to adjust it or if something is binding it up

Nice tool. The genuine issues, however, are with the RJ45 Pass Through connectors. In the past, I have used standard (non-passthrough) connectors. Lining up the twisted pairs was hit-and-miss, but always successful, and quick.These Petech connectors lack internal guides, and the inside of the connectors are too wide open, causing wires to easily cross, finding their way to the exit. The result is a process of repeatedly lining up the wires. Yes, the wires (eventually) pass through to confirm the order. But the process takes way too much time vs. non-pass-through connectors. The tool, nonetheless, is particularly well-made.
