No worries
I have bought three pairs of Doctor Martens recently - cherry red (through my work), black and now green (through Amazon). They are so comfortable and come up brill with one of those instant shine buff things. The black ones after about 3 months a small area of the left sole started to come away (a pound stick of Wilkinsons super glue put that to right) I am a size 11 and they fit perfectly. I bought a 12 in the green though a little sloppy (and ten pounds cheaper than a size 11) they are pretty sound and look great, a thick sock should cure the problem. Look great with a pair of jeans or chinos. Maybe you feel a real rebel and show them with a pair of denim shorts which i have done! Only thing wrong is the standard laces which come with them, they are too short! I like to put the laces once around the top and tie up the front, the standard ones only reach halfway round and look odd without going around the back first. Personal preference I suppose. Overall a brilliant piece of footwear!

Fantastic boots, competitively priced @ Amazon.
Love, love, love these boots! Been wearing Dr Marten's since I was 15 & I am now 47! Whilst the quality is not to the same standard as it once was (when made in the UK) the boots themselves are comfy and still fit ok. I am aware I shall have to be careful not to mark these being white (although white trainer cleaner might help if I do mark them), but the thickness of the leather will last a few years at least if I take care, so the price is justified. As for breaking them in...Moleskin by Scholl should do the trick until I am used to them, but I have not had a problem breaking in new DM's in the past few years so all should be well. These are my first pair of white DM'S and I kerp wondering what took me so long? Give them a try, at Amazon's price you have nothing to lose!

Stylish and hardwearing
Excellent quality boots and got them at fantastic price in clearance sale. Comes with second set of yellow laces but the standard black laces look much better on navy. Very supple leather - would recommend treating regularly though with the official Doc Marten dubbin and polish to waterproof the boots and keep them in good shape. Have lasted through wind and rain with minimal rubbing on the ankles and no wet socks so far. They are a very nicely shaped shoe that look good with skinny jeans tucked in or with bootcuts over the top.

Can't Complain About These Boots
I have owned these boots for about four months and have worn them regularly. I've nothing but good things to say about them, they look great, are comfortable. The soles are fine, the bottoms are fine. The laces are good quality and even came with a spare set, even though they were yellow, but it was a nice surprise. They are comfy out of the box, and just get more so each time you wear them. No rubbing/discomfort whatsoever. The material is very nice. I don't have anything bad to say about them really. Best footwear I have ever bought, and worth every penny.

Always loved DM's, the ones I had before ordering these ...
Always loved DM's, the ones I had before ordering these were wider and fitted my foot more, these were slightly narrower which makes my little toe stick out slightly on the leather, and i feel that there is more 'loose leather'. but please don't let this sway your decision because the fit is still fine and they're a lovely colour and overall good boot

Dr Marten quality
Always wanted new DM"s so took the plunge at this price. I know these aren't the UK made versions and I did hear some horror stories about quality but I can honestly say these fit perfectly (for my size 10 feet) and the build quality is excellent. I've worn them many times and on long walks with the dog and they have remained the same as when I bought them. Super comfy as well. Recommended at this price.

Disappointing.
Honestly, my first impressions on these are not good. I had DM 1460 and 1490 boots from a teenager and for years in a job I had in the past, and the old boots were bulletproof. As I took these new ones out of the box I was appalled at how thin the leather is. Save up for the Docs for life, they'll be like how Docs are supposed to be. Maybe these ones will look a bit better once they've been shined a few times, also, I used to wear my old ones whilst hooning about on old 2 stroke motorbikes, these ones don't seem like they'd survive a day using a motorbike gear change. This next bit has been added on 28/07/17: I've worn these a few times now, not feeling the vibe, big problem is that the last is different never mind the poorer quality upper. I look at them sitting across from me, and wonder if I should just drop them in the bin or give them away. Alarm bells should sound when a described feature is an extra set of laces. So, now it's 28/09/18. Opinion is unchanged, save up for the made in England ones, if you're older like me and remember the quality of them years ago. A thing I hate about them is that seam around the top of the boot, no need for it, and the top of the boot is wider than the original ones, by this I mean that when you pull them tight, for me anyway, you are left with a triangle of open air between the front of your shin and the tied boot. Never happened with the old boots, which were made of thicker leather, and are more supportive and comfortable, in my opinion. SAVE UP FOR THE MADE IN ENGLAND ONES! Now it's 02/05/19 and I've got rid of them, horrible boots. Again, save extra for the made in England ones is my advice. Now it's 18.01.24, buy the boots made by Solovair, they're the factory that used to mass produce the proper DM boot in the UK before DM went to China.
