Cover is Brown
I ordered this with volume 3 and it came brown instead of black and both were damaged so I returned for a replacement and the one’s pictured are the replacements. Still brown instead of black. I have returned vol 1 for a refund to try and order it elsewhere to try and get a volume that actually matches my other black covers. Great book otherwise if the mismatch colors don’t bother you.

Really awesome manga, not yaoi
I just want to say that I had no idea this was an omnibus edition, I thought it was a yaoi (hey that's Amazon's tags for you) and really didn't know what to expect. I also didn't know this was an anime (but am very pleased to find out it is!) Upon opening the package I was shocked at how large this manga was, I bought it for $12 so I just assumed it was a regular sized manga, didn't know the listing price was 18.99. I eagerly opened it up, and was sucked right in.Yuki has a power where he can see/feel what others are feeling or traumatic pasts. It is a bit debilitating, but he figures he can live with it and figure out what to do. He was orphaned at birth, and is honestly a genuinely good person. He reminds me of the Tohru from Fruits Basket, expect I find Yuki less annoying. He's so good and knows just what to say, that's where I drew the similarities from. Anyway he starts meeting these new people, and then suddenly he almost gets hit by a speeding car, these are just the beginnings for Yuki as he discovers he does have family, and is a part of something much bigger than he could ever imagine. The characters are all fantastic, for someone who isn't used to reading mangas, you might want to pay really close attention because some of the blonde characters are similar. However the artist was fantastic, and so detailed, I was really happy and am now looking to see if there's any more works by Hotaru Odagiri. I am very upset that I have to wait until December for the second volume to come out, but will be consoling myself with the anime.Ok now for the yaoi aspect, there really wasn't one. We get the feeling that Luka and Yuki were intimate in Yuki's past life, but Yuki was a girl, now as a boy there is a bit of affection and flirting, but nothing that would qualify it as a yaoi or even boy love territory. I have hopes, I mean remember Yellow didn't get anything until the fourth volume, but even if nothing comes of it, the plot is so fantastical that it would still make my top manga list. I highly recommend, and you can't beat Amazon's price. Enjoy!

Beautiful manga!!
Finally! I've been waiting for this manga for so long!First off, This is an Omnibus edition ie.2 volumes in one! and the size of the book is larger and thicker than the regular manga sizes (this is my first omnibus book)with a nice lovely cover and four color inserts. So worth the price!!I saw the anime first and reading the manga is so much better for me because the story is better developed and we see more into Luka's mysterious past. Plus the art is so beautiful!!!! Hotaru Odagiri's art never ceases to amaze me *___* the way she draws those characters is just stunning, smooth-clear lines and very attractive characters who don't look alike(that's very common in many mangakas...they tend to have look alike characters a lot~_~) she's the only one who can make me fall in love with a drawing lol the story is full of action, tender moments, friendship, strong bonds and it also deals a lot with the fear of being alone or losing that precious someone.I should also mention that I had a huge dislike for Yuki(the main character) in the anime but now that I finished reading my manga, I happily realized that i like Yuki! He's not that annoying, whining or miserable in the manga as he is in the anime. I could appreciate him for what he is: a gentle soul yet strong at the same time. I love all the characters, very unique in their own way, even the chef of the Twilight Hall and the Dr. pervert are very likeable hehe this manga can be very funny at times and very sad too.Even though this is a shoujo manga, for yaoi fans, the BL hints are marvelous but never crossing the line. All in all, I'm quite content with the friendship and heart warming feelings that this manga evokes among its characters. Can't wait for the next release, a nice manga in my collection indeed!

Well worth it! :)
Absolutely love it! This series is great and the characters are hard not to like even the antagonists. The story is very unique and indeed heart wrenching at times. But I find it impossible not to love this series. I especially love how innocent and weak the main character is portrayed because then it gives him room to mature into a greater character. I bought a used copy of the book and while worn out quite a bit it does not disappoint plus for the price it is well worth it. I'd say that my copy was very well-loved and will continue to be. In my own opinion the wear and tear gives the book some character. While I prefer to get books brand new I had to admit that I instantly fell in love with it when I received it in the mail. One thing I found quite surprising was the thickness of it. I assumed it would be smaller but it wasn't which made me like it even more. So if you are thinking of purchasing the first volume in this series I would definitely recommend it. Maybe go for a used copy because the new ones can get quite expensive.

Heartwarming and Exciting
In spite of its "Yaoi" label, Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru (Betrayal Knows My Name) is strong on deep bonds and free of sex (at least in the first two volumes). This author tends to focus on beautiful and meaningful male friendships rather than romance. Most of the other reviews have covered the storyline, so I'll leave that alone. I'll just say that the emotional value and supernatural elements make this series a worthwhile read. Give it a try!!Just be warned that it can get a bit wordy at times. Much like Shoujo manga, there is a lot of introspection and soul searching on the part of the characters.

An Absolutely Stunning Manga!!
I only came across this because a friend of mine told me about the anime on Youtube and I binged it in about a week it was that good!!! So when I discovered that there was manga, and also that the manga went further on in the story than the anime did, I was like, gimme gimme gimme the books!! :DThe premiss for the books is probably one of the most original I've come across, which is where a young orphan named Yuki begins to have these strange dreams about a man, who he feels like he recognises but can't place where from. Add to that the strange power he has to see painful memories from a person whenever he touches them and then being able to absorb that pain, doesn't exactly make for a happy start to his college years. Oh, and then add on top of that these weird demons that attack him and it's a recipe for disaster!!Then the mysterious, outrageously beautiful man from his dreams shows up. In real life. To save him on more than one occasion with the help of brother and sister Tsukumo and Touko, who appear to know Yuki, but he has no idea who they are either, even though, again, he feels like he recognises them from somewhere. Yuki learns the man who saved him is called Zess, but nothing else, still feeling confused when he returns to the orphanage, only to become even more confused when his older brother -who he doesn't know existed- shows up and offers to take him to Tokyo.I can't really tell you what else goes on from here without going into serious spoiler territory, but suffice it to say that the artwork from Hotaru Odagiri, is absolutely stunning, with all of the characters captured perfectly. So if you like dark, gothic fantasy (and it most certainly IS that!!) then check this out. Also, watch the anime on YouTube, it's in English Subtitles, but it is one of the most addictive, intense things I think I have ever watched. :D

Sucked in, well and truely!
When people put ‘I was sucked in’ in reviews, I never truly believed them till now. But just like the anime (which follows the manga closely) I am totally won over.YAOI? (cos it’s a question I like answered) Weeell, I’m not sure there will be anything graphic, it’s kinda implied. A lot. But we are dealing with a few teens and beings that are a few centuries old, reincarnations not withstanding. But we can hope! The art work is very pretty, the story line thus far just keeps me salivating for more cos I reeealy need to know what’s going on!!The story is also quite dark in places, dealing a lot with parental abandonment in one form or another. Also for those of us who don’t like ‘high school manga plots’ (Me included) this isn’t a problem here, school is practically an afterthought and isn’t getting in the way of plot. There isn’t a chara I don’t like, not a one. Which is strange cos there is usually always one you want the author to kill off, but I’m on the 3rd volume and haven’t fond a one yet. But with 3 more to go, who knows. But I’m enjoying getting there.AND, if you weren’t already convinced to buy… Ok, these books are NOT cheep, about the price of some hard yaoi, which we arnt getting… BUT… these are double volumes, slightly larger than a normal manga book, and double as thick, they are also printed on good thick paper. (Seriously when I got mine I was a happy puddle of otaku goo… and they smell really nice too! ^_~)So go check out the first very pretty volume… but be prepared to buy the rest… I’m currently waiting for the last few volumes!Enjoy!
