great book, great illustration. i was a bit turned off by the authors technic of multiple layers of wood even tho i use solid blocks of basswood but inspite of it i got to use very good patterns. big fan !!

This is one of the best carving workbooks that I have bought. Great way to carve in a different way they I am used too. Book is very informative. Top 10 publication in my opinion.

This just fits the bill as I'm interested in realistic carving. Shows a lot of fur patterns which can be a tricky item to carve. I don't recommend to beginners but if you have a knack for carving detail this would help you and not be too hard for a talented beginner.

I carved a cougar. It seemed so difficult, but with the model inside this book it Was posible.And there are a lot of models, as soon as possible i will Begin another carving.This book really makes easier this hobbie

This is a nice workbook for beginners. I did not like all the writing about how to do things. There are not many pictures to show how carvings are done. I was disappointed. The typing tutorials are long, but do tell the steps clearly. Then hand written tutorials were hard to read. Had is seen this and looked thru it on the shelf, I would not have bought it.

Very usefull patterns and a lot of detail information that is useful. I you want to learn about animal carving this is a useful tool .
