amazing pool vacuum
as a first time pool owner, i have a 20x40 in-ground vinyl pool. the previous owner had one of those triangle vacuums that was a) hard to keep on the floor of the pool and b) seemed to just move the stuff around instead of sucking it up. Frustrated, I was scouring Amazon hoping to find something better without having to buy a pool robot cleaner.I came across this which was a reference in a review on a competing product. A couple of things to say about this. First, it is HEAVY! Make sure you properly handle it because of the weight. Second, get a good pole (obviously since it's heavy). Third, because of the weights on the vacuum as well as the rollers, the vacuum stays on the floor of the pool (or the walls if you want pull it up) and easily glides along. I had originally tried with the first vacuum to push it around the bottom and got tired well before I got through half the pool. This, I could push around all day long. It takes virtually zero effort to push around, and does an amazing job. Fourth, the suction on this cleaner is incredible. All in all, great product. Good design. Great performance. Keep in mind, I don't have much to compare this to as I am a first time pool owner, and the only thing I have to compare it against is the one the previous owners left us, but I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Well built and functional
This item seems to be very high quality. I read some reviews about wheels falling off of these during use, but mine was very well put together, and I doubt that will ever be an issue. As for the operation of the vacuum, I attached it to a Robelle 750 Swimming Pool Vacuum Hose, 40-Feet by 1-1/2-Inch hose, and I used a Hayward SP1106 Large Skim Vac Plate to attach the hose to my skimmer basket. Since my pool has two surface skimmers, one must be blocked with a tennis ball, allowing all of the suction to be delivered to one skimmer. In my experience, it take a few minutes for the hose to completely fill with water, but once it is full, the connection between the skimmer plate and the skimmer basket is very strong. Then all of that suction power is available to the Pentair Pro Vac, and you don't have an issue with the Vac Plate coming loose while moving about the pool. The vacuum itself connects easily to any pool pole. The blue deck of the vac is slightly flexible allowing it to contour to rounded surfaces. The bottom of the vacuum has a couple of rubber pieces that run the width of the vac to increase suction power. The wheels roll smoothly, and the vac can be rolled up the side of my pool since the edges are curved like a bowl.My pool is roughly 15,000 gallons, so the 14inch works great for me. It also works well inside my hot tub. That being said, if I had a much larger pool, I would probably opt for a wider vacuum to speed up the process.

Lasted four years with Extreme use
Bought mine in August 2019 and I'm just now replacing it after 4 years. It gets used about 60 times a month and is so much better than any other vacuum head I've ever used and I've tried a bunch of them. I time almost everything I do when I'm working on the job and this vacuum head took 30 to 40 percent off the time it takes to vacuum my pools. You don't even need a good pool pump suction to get good vacuum from it. Works really well vacuuming heavy sand and rocks. If you have a pool and plan to keep it, you really want this vacuum head or a really nice robotic cleaner. I've only had 1 wheel fail on me after about 3.5 years in but that it from heavy use and sometimes a little abuse from sitting in the back of the truck

Very good vacuum head
Very good vacuum head. Hugs the bottom of the pool well. Swivel for handle is an excellent feature. Worth paying a little more compared to cheaper models.

Glad I Got It
Holy cow what a difference. I have gone through several of the off shelf box store models, but they just don't do the job this one does. The off shelf models are not as heavy and they attempt to keep the vacuum head down by using a spring. This bad boy is pretty heavy. It stays flat on the pool floor. The head swivels which makes it easy to move around the pool. With the cheaper models, I found myself making two or three passes around the pool. This one gets the job done with one stroke. Wish I had purchased this years ago. If you want to save time and get the job done right the first time, I highly recommend that you spend the few extra bucks and get one of these.

Great Product.
I have been using the vacuum head for about a month now and it is working great. The wheels are quality and not cheap plastic. The weight of the product helps keep it on the bottom and side of the pool. I would recommend this product if you need a quality vacuum head. Well worth the money.

This has worked great for me so far
This has worked great for me so far. It's heavy enough to stay on the pool bottom, but still not too heavy. The swivel pole attach helps to maneuver this on the bottom of the pool, and it seems to pick up the leaves better than my previous vacuum head. Note:: on this head a 1.5" pool hose cuff fits inside the opening, as opposed to fitting over the opening like on my previous vac head. For me, it turned out that my old hose was loose in there (the cuff had a thin wall so the outside dimension of the cuff was a bit too small to be snug inside the vac head hole), but I wanted a new hose anyway and got the Robelle 750 vac hose which has a nice fit into this. This also comes with an adapter for smaller hoses, but I didn't use this.
