Q: Is there a way to secure the two pillows together, like a velcro strap?

You could use self adhesive velcro straps. I keep them together using a fitted crib mattress. It works quite nicely!

Q: do these pillows have any unpleasant smell to them? i bought something recently that smelled like gasoline.

My wedge pillows arrived in great condition and do not smell like gasoline or any other chemical smell

Q: Can you still use a pillow with this or so you have to use it as is?

Yes you can use your pillow with it. I use the bigger wedge under my legs to take pressure off of my spine and use my feather pillow under my head. It is 2 parts. You can figure out what is best to fit your needs and the material is soft and comfortable too. Hope that helps

Q: Can I buy a replacement cover for the leg pillow?

The company told me no. Would be so helpful for extra covers in between my clients. I use this with my therapy table it’s so great!
