I got this camera as a Christmas gift for my four year old goddaughter. She is constantly taking her mom’s phone in order to play with the camera feature, and I figured she would like having her own digital camera. She absolutely went wild when she got this camera, and it took her no time at all to learn how to use it. We showed her how to turn it on and take pictures and then look at the pictures, and she figured out everything else herself. She figured out how to switch the filters and the colors, and then she ran around showing everyone. The camera has a bunch of child friendly filters already built in, such as filters that show happy animals in the photo frame with you or filters that invert the colors. In my goddaughter’s eyes, her camera is now much better than her mom’s phone camera. She runs around taking pictures of everyone. The quality isn’t the best, but that really doesn’t matter when it’s a child camera. The camera body is also really durable. My goddaughter has dropped it multiple times and nothing has broken.

As many have mentioned, this is smaller than I initially anticipated but the unit is very nice. So far, only my husband and I have played around with it. We plan to give it to our young son as a gift but we are familiarizing ourselves with it first so we can solve any problems quickly as ge learns. The features are impressive, there are 4 games (think old school cell phone games) and it can do delayed capture, burst, and a few other things that are a lot more advanced than I thought a child's camera would have! As long as it can hold up to the rough handling of a toddler I call it a huge win.

My 3yo cousin absolutely loves this gift!! Her mom and grandpa are photographers and she’s always fascinated with them and their cameras. We decided to get this for her to see if she would pick up on the same hobby/ side profession and she has not stopped snapping pics since she received it yesterday. It was the perfect size for her little hands however I do wish it was just a tad bit more simple to use. To pull up pics have it’s own button or to switch it from camera to video with their own buttons rather than hitting this button twice for this or 3 times for that. It’s going to be just a little difficult for her to get the hang of but I know eventually she will get it. The SD card worked with no issues and is a 16gig like they said. I’m a little worried to see how it will stand up against a toddler. The plastic did seem a little cheap(easily breakable) the biggest issue I have is the battery only lasted maybe 2 hours. If that. I understand it’s small so the batteries are going to be small but I was hoping it would last a little longer. The camera alone I would give 3 stars but the priceless reaction when she got a camera just like mommy and papaw made me realize I’d buy 30 of these little cheap cameras just to keep seeing that moment

Good little camera for young kids. Takes fine pictures and videos, it takes a little work figuring the buttons out. I wish I would’ve read more about the camera though because it has video games on it. We don’t let our kids play video games & now that they've discovered them on the camera, I don’t enjoy hearing “can I play a video game” all the time. I wish there was a way to delete the games because we like the camera but not the games. Probably will just have to take the camera away. Not everything needs games on it. Let a camera just be a camera.

My nephew always loved using his tablet to take pictures, so I decided for Christmas to get him this camera and he loves it! Was super easy for him to figure out and it was the first gift he went around to play with. Built durable and small enough to carry around in a parent sized pocket if he ever forgets. Great for any kid who you think will love it, especially for the price.

Update 1 month: my son loved this camera for the first couple week now we cannot get it out of video mode. We’ve tried to reset and the “double” click listed in the question and answer portion.Don’t buy this camera. We’ll be getting him a different one.Be prepared this camera is VERY small- that's not a knock on it either just a fact as I was a bit surprised at just how small it is but my small 4 year old loves it and takes SO MANY photos which is just what I wanted. Other reviewers have said how good the quality of the photos are but I wasn't impressed - they're very blurry even the ones where I've helped him hold still and take the photo. I was really hoping for better quality photos than this - hence 3 stars.

At first I wondered if it might be too difficult for a young child. However, I have spent hours with him letting him take pictures of everything around him. He has taken hundreds of pictures. Although not choosy about what he takes, I don't worry about it because it just takes a moment to delete the photos and start over. He loves the camera and we are planning a vacation soon that we hope he will document from his perspective. The camera is small and easy for him to carry and operate. Hangs safely on a lanyard around his neck so it is not going to be casually left somewhere. As a learning tool, I know he just gets better the more he uses it. With all that, it is a camera that is loaded with tools for both video (with audio) and photos. Takes great shots although the screen on the camera doesn't show them well. But don't worry, when you download them to a computer, they are actually pretty great photos and videos. I am so happy and so is my Grandson. Thank you for the Hyelton digital camera for kids.

When I opened this I thought so lightweight and small. Charged fast and before even dreading instructions so many options I kept playing with it before wrapping for my camera loving boy. Clear pictures,timer to take family photos, backround images to create fun framed pictures, many settings to take clear, black and white, color, adjust lighting, etc. Plus games!! There are several games....fun and educational. Strap included my son carries it around his neck a great deal. I got a blue one and now need to get a pink one for my other kid! So small but amazing quality and options!
