Perfect for acne prone skin
I have cystic acne and this is the only Retinol serum that works for me. My inflammation has gone done drastically using this every night. 🌙 Apply a small amount and you're good to go! My face always feels and appears more hydrated. I also feel like i have a glow to my face. My appearance has improved by a lot. Must haves. I am going to buy again soon because I am almost out.

Works on fine lines!
I've been moisturizing pretty diligently since I was a teenager, my mother told me to moisturize twice a day to keep the crows feet away, and I followed her advice. However, preventative measures only go so far, and I had some lines take up residency on my forehead, with no intentions of being evicted.I've used more expensive moisturizers in the past (Hydroxotone at $80 a jar for 6 months) to no avail. I've been seeing commercials for Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair, and thought I'd give it a shot. I was a little hesitant at first, since I do have sensitive acne prone skin, and was a little worried about the side effects on the box, and in some of the reviews. Suprisingly though, I didn't have a single problem. There was a slight tinging at first, but that was all, no redness or peeling. I'm not a fan of scented products either, but this one wasn't abrasive, and it absorbed well, without being greasy.Long story short, I've been using this product for exactly 7 days, and have had great results (keep in mind, my lines were fine, and not terribly deep..yet) I've included before and after pictures, and you can definitely tell that the lines are almost gone, and my skin's over all texture is smoother. I'm a believer, and I'm going to continue using this product, can't wait to see what happens in the long term.

In-depth review: great product but things you should know...
Here is my thorough review of this product. This is coming from a woman who has sensitive, combination, multiple-ethnicity skin, who lives in varying climates. My skin demands much of my attention, so I try tons of products to see what I'm allergic to and not. My skin is also dry yet oily, endures dry, cold Colorado weather and hot, humid Georgia climates. I have the fragile, pale delicacy of Japanese skin, with the large pores and wrinkle prone American side thrown in. Now let's get to this product.Neutrogena Night Serum claims to fight wrinkles by helping to moisturize and infusing your skin with retinol. Now I'm still a young woman, so I bought this mostly to prevent future wrinkles, fight the fine lines I currently have from all the sun and winter winds I deal with daily, to help balance my combination skin, and to even out my skin tone since every flaw shows up on my light complexion.PROS:- decent sized bottle for the price (use nightly for up to 2 months)- easy to use pump (a single pump is enough for one night's use)- almost no scent- goes on smooth and even- doesn't cause acne (as long as you blend evenly)- perfectly safe for my skin (which is allergic to pretty much everything)- keeps my face moisturized all night- mixes well with serums without reacting (such as 100% hyalauric acid or vitamin c)- the retinol is a nice addition to your nightly moisturizer- safe to use close to your eyes/on your eyelids without causing a reactionCONS:- bottle warns you will feel a warm, tingling sensation (yes, yes you will, because it feels like a 30 second sunburn that slowly ebbs and turns your skin flush red)- haven't seen permanent differences in my fine wrinkles over time, but in the mornings my face is brighter, clearer, and more plump than when I go without- leaves my skin oily the next morning until I wash it, so I highly recommend using it at night only and never as a daytime serum under makeup- is a little intense in humid weather, and will cause acne if you don't blend thoroughly- is a little too dry in windy and cold weather, and needs an additional face cream on top to prevent drying over the course of the night- not entirely a con, but the serum has pearlescent sparkles (it won't fall into your eyes or irritate your contact lens, but it will make your black towels/robe/pajamas a little sparkly over time)OVERALL:I'd buy it again. I don't think it's very useful to use alone, but I like using it as part of my 5-Step Japanese Skincare Routine (foam cleanser, toner, serum, eye cream, face cream or lotion). I only use it at night as instructed, simply because it does make my face red and tingly and would make me look sunburned during the daytime. This tingling isn't the most pleasant feeling, but the bottle claims it means this is working. I don't know to trust that, or assume it's a coverup for some flaw in the recipe. But I have yet to see a downside to using this as a longterm preventative for fine wrinkles. It's suitable for people of different ethnicities, with sensitive skin, in different climates.

Fast results, but have to dilute it!! Also, great for oily and acne prone skin!
I read most of the reviews of this product before buying it, so I knew the great potential it had but at the same time I was very aware of the drying/burning sensations many people have experienced too.So here is what I did to get the best benefits without the damage: DILUTE IT!After cleansing skin properly at night and moisturizing, I wait 5 minutes for the moisture to settle/absorb a little before I proceed with smearing a pea-sized amount of this cream in areas where needed. The normal mioisturizer prior to this product also helps create a small barrier so the product need longer time to penetrate and therefore it is not as harsh on the skin! But I promise you, I saw improvement in skin within 3 days. The funny thing is..I’m in my early 20s and I bought it as preventive treatment for aging, BUT....little did I know it would help combat my acne issues too! It really does smooth out the skin and prevent the skin from breaking out! I am more than satisfied with the results. Conclusion: awesome product, but must be used with care:1) use only at night (as retinol can get inactivated by sunlight)2) moisturize prior to application with a simple hydrating moisturizer to create a layer that dilutes the active ingredients...to prevent harsh reactions on skin. I would never use this product as a moisturizer on its own directly on skin!3) use a small amount and sheer it out..do not build up product, then the dilution step makes no sense and will not help.4) spot treat! Skin is self-regenerative. So use it only where you need some help depending on what you are targeting. I target acne and bumps for clear and smooth skin, so for me its mostly about the t-zone.Hope this review helped!

Works when others have failed--and for a respectable price
Actually works to soften forehead lines. It absorbs quickly with minimal smell. It does not contribute to breakouts and as non-greasy.

Paper packaging not up to the job.
The product is good and helps with texture. The package arrived in poor shape though.

Would buy again.
This worked well for me! It’s not a thick or greasy and it has a light pretty scent. This was my first retinol product and I loved it. No skin irritation!
