They’re perfect!
They fit perfectly! I had coilovers on from purchase but wanted oe so I went for this similar model and installing it was easy (unless you had coilovers which I did). If you’re stock, all you need to do is unbolt both the top and bottom for all assemblies and you should be able to slide it right out. Same thing the reverse way. For me, I had to loosen extra parts just to get the holes right since the coilovers were much smaller. When I took this thing on the road, it felt just as smooth as the first one I owned. No noise, no uncomfortable bumps. I can enjoy my trips a lot more easily now without those pesky bumps. I like that it restored factory ride height too. Although I prefer it slightly lower, I prefer this over the coilovers because of comfort. This’ll definitely do your trick if you need to replace yours or are looking for a comfier ride. The only thing I would say though is that the bottom portion of one particular strut was tighter than the others, meaning I was to push and scrape against the inner portion of the strut with the axle hub connection to get it in there. But regardless, it fits and it’s not going anywhere. Next time I need it, I’ll definitely come by back to get these again.

Great Product
Very pleased. No problems with installation, no error codes. Escalade is riding like a Cadillac again. One third of the price versus a dealership.

Detroit Axle used to be good. What happened?
Ok, I totally used to be a fan boy. Great bang for the buck. Nice kits for most vehicles. Located in my home state. But this is the worst hassle I have had to deal with in a long while and that is saying a lot. Short story, buy somewhere else. Parts are hit or miss, warranty is more or less worthless and customer service is terrible. Or read on for the details. I got this to fix some one else's car, they have a tight budget, but this kit seemed to fit the bill. First issue: I checked the parts when they arrived and realized they had sent wrong part numbers for the stabilizer links. Called and CS agent was largely confused. I had to explain a couple of times that the parts I received literally didn't match the numbers on the invoice or packing list. This seemed beyond her, but eventually I got it sorted out and got the parts swapped out. No big deal right anyone might have a new staff member. Second issue: I installed the rear shocks (purchased separately, but also from Detroit Axle) but had to push off the install of the front parts a couple times due to a few different reasons. When I went to install the struts, they barely fit into the knuckles. So bad a fit I went and double checked the part number, but they were correct. After a lot of struggle I got them fitted and test drove, but there was still and intermittent clunk, like a binding or loose strut. I retorqued and tested but it was clear they were defective out of the box. I called and had to escalate a couple of times, since it had been a while they didn't get that the parts were defective out of the box. Eventually I got them swapped. The replacements were clearly a revised unit and fit as they should installed and tested. Seemed much improved, but still a little off. person got the car aligned and said it felt good, so chalked it up to other issues. Third issue: Three months later the part is getting worse and person took the car to a shop for other issues and confirmed the strut (passenger side) is defective. Called and CS gave me some run around about the shipping. I asked for a manager call back and they were worse. He says since they replaced the part under warrantee that it was no longer under warranty. I explained that the earlier issue was replacing a part which arrived defective and that the guy I worked with last time should not have put it in as a warranty exchange. Now I am pending another escalation, doubt that will help. So basically I got sent 4 struts, 3 of which were bad and they won't honor their warranty because the way the first set was entered as a warranty exchange. Maybe better to cut losses. Their parts have gone down in quality ( I used a different kit on another car and lower ball joint is pretty sketchy), and since their warranty is a one time replacement and they charge a hefty shipping fee, it's really not worth it.

Good quality, affordable price
It's detroit axle, you're not looking for top of the line stuff. You're looking for OK. Spring rate isn't quite that of the factory p71 package, but everything fit and functions as it should. if you're mechanically inclined and not in a hurry, you can install within a weekend. Won't need to buy again. Solid deal.

Fits as expected
Fits a 2010 Dodge Journey 4 cylinder properly. Big improvement over the worn out struts.
