awesome low priced quality tripod
just unboxed mine today. gotta say this is a great tripod for the price. i've always went budget,(like really budget) on tripods for glassing and decided to spend a little more. here in AZ we spent hours glassing when hunting which is a standard so equipment is crucial. i didnt want to spend hundreds on something i use a couple of times in the year. i searched reviews and videos on this product and went with it. again, it is great and im impressed with the quality and sturdyness of it. the fluid head works awesome and smooth. its probably the heavyest of the unit but not too much. i like the tensions on the locks so you can tighten it and still move it around and it will stay in place. i wasnt sure about the feature on the head where when unlocked it will go back to the level position but with the binos attached, it stays where you want it. (i have a full size bino for glassing) but adjustments is easy if you wnt to lock it. it's about 4 lbs so not too bad in my back pack. i threw it in there and i feel no excess weight. all in all its a great product. buy it if you want a "budget" yet quality tripod. i have yet to take it to the field for the real test but as for now i am very satisfied with the purchase.

Lots of good features, but not perfect.
I was looking for a new tripod in this price range and familiar with the brand on other products. If you do video a fluid head is the way to go. Ive used broadcast quality fluid heads before so I know what perfection is like and know I cant afford perfection.Pros-The up and down tilt of the head is very nice and fells smooth.-Quick release plate is an essential feature for me and appears to be compatible with other swiss arca style quick release plates-The monopod is very useful versatile, and portable option to have if your camera has a 3/8 mount to attach it to-All tightening knobs can be pulled out and rotated to change the position of the lever to make it easier to tighten, not expecting this feature, its hard to explain, but very handy.-Hook for adding weights-Carry bag is nicer than I expected and properly folded tripod is under 24" in length-Center column and fluid head assembly is removable/serviceableCons-The legs do not lock when folded out and are not attached to each other to keep the legs from individually shifting-Panning left to right is not as smooth as tilting up and down. Its not terrible or unusable, but compared to how smooth up and down is it is a noticeable difference-Center column locking knob can come undone from over turning. Its easy to fix it comes loose and once I realized to focus on turning the black rubber part and not the whole assembly the problem is prevented.-Not super sturdy or rock solid. Part of this is because of the legs and overall weight. Its not going to fall over but aggressive panning and tilting or bumps will easily shake the tripod if your not aware, but you get a hook to hang weights if it is a big concern.-To properly close the tripod to fit in the bag you extend the center column all the way up and fold the legs up 180 degrees. Not a huge deal its just weird that somehow that makes the whole packed length a few inches shorter than just lowering the center column all the way and leaving the legs as short as they go.

Strong tripod with 3/8" screw
I needed a new, very solid and strong tripod to go with the Serounder motorized pan and tilt gimbal head that I use for videography. Because the motorized pan and tilt gimbal head comes with a 3/8 inch mount, I had to find a good tripod that had that size screw. I could not use adapters which were not strong enough to handle this heavy motorized head. This tripod worked very well and the ability to move my large Sony FDR-AV700 videocamera both pan and tilt using a wireless remote-controller is a great feature.

For the money it's pretty good
For the money this tripod is great. I had some issues with the fluid head but after chatting with Neewer that issue has since been resolved. This tripod has great height and smooth pan and tilts, I'm not a pro but for my amateur needs this tripod and head fit the bill. I've used it for landscape photography/video, and macro, and use it frequently with a monopod for overhead video reviews. I shoot APS-C so nothing crazy heavy or anything near the max this thing can take but it has served me well. Great deal especially if you can get it on sale not to mention Neewer has excellent customer service.

A fantastic economical option for a tripod
I've been filming for twenty years and I've gone through plenty of tripods. I purchased this tripod as a backup and I'm amazed at the quality for the price. It is actually lighter than my Manfrotto carbon fiber tripod so that's an added bonus, especially since I travel so much. Specs say it weighs 4.51 lbs, but it came in at 4.1 lbs on my scale. The fluid head works well once you lock it in place and it does have the option of converting into a monopod. It comes with a travel bag and folds up to 22". Time will tell how it holds up. I'll check back in a few months with an update.

NEEWER 2-in-1 Aluminum Alloy Camera Tripod Monopod
Purchased as an upgrade from my old tripod...This thing is a beast! Very light and very sturdy! Will hold my camera and a Sigma 150-600mm without an issue. telescopic legs have sturdy catches not flimsy cheap ones. I have th pan head version which is An Arca Swiss Plate and smooth as silk. You can also convert the unit into a monopod by unscrewing one of the legs and mounting the head to it adding to it flexibility. I think it's a great mid level tripod and will last many years . I would recommend this tripod for its build quality, portability, flexibility and price point

great tripod for the cost
Really good tripod at a very fair cost, the materials seems solid enough and its light enough to make it convenient to take on trips. Keep in mind its not a professional grade tripod but for the price its reliable and easy to use!
