HEAVY METALS DETOX: The fast-track to a healthier version of YOU!

A thorough guide that touched on all points
As a holistic health practitioner, I was already aware of most of the information in this book. I needed it to brush up on my heavy metal protocols and "put all my ducks in a row", as the author called it.As I was reading it, I kept wondering, is he going to talk about this topic and that topic, and yes, indeed, he explained everything that pertains to detox pathways, albeit in a condensed and simplified way enough for a regular consumer to understand and implement. Complex and incredibly advanced topics such as nrf2 and glutathione pathways are explained using analogies that are easier to digest (pun intended). The author even tells you the sequence in which it's best to begin your detox, from more surface down to the deepest and advanced detox. Of course, you have to read the book to know the proper sequence!Having said that, this book is not meant to educate health practitioners. It's not advanced enough. It can serve as more of an introduction into the more complex topics of epigenetics, GI health, systemic antioxidant pathways, ATP, etc. But it's excellent for regular folks who just want to feel better. A side note that following this book will detox more than just heavy metals, it's great for all kinds of toxins, including pesticides, (probably) microplastic, chemicals in foods and the environment, pollution, mold, bad bacteria, endotoxins, etc. One criticism I have for the author is I wish he dedicated a whole chapter to inflammation like explaining what it is, why it's bad (or when it's good) and what makes it worse (sugar! stress!). Sugar is the number one cause of chronic inflammation, it eats up antioxidant stores and stalls detox pathways. Finally, I loved that recipe with ginger and lemon to stimulate stomach acid!So what are you waiting for? Go read the book and do what is written! I guarantee you'll feel like a different person.

Body Chemistry Well-Explained
I have no science or chemistry background, but was vaguely aware of "heavy metals" and "detox." I selected this book to learn more. The chapters are arranged in a very logical order--general concepts first, becoming more detailed as the book progresses. Mr. Lilley is very good at explaining anatomy and body chemistry. He uses scientific language as well as common vernacular words (sometimes quite humorous) to explain body processes and the effect of heavy metals on those processes. There were several "aha" moments for me eg why the vet gave my dog activated charcoal when my dog ate something he shouldn't have and why people drink vinegar. The book also gave me an appreciation for the complexity of the human body and why it is so important to care for your body. I now pay attention to the nutrients and minerals I eat. In my high-school days, I thought of chemistry as boring; this book made chemistry very interesting. The book was a fast read despite the complex topic.

Great book everyone should have
Excellent book on ways for heavy metal detox and also finding the many ways to test to see what you have in your body already. I highly recommend this book!

Good general information. Find Andy Cutler protocol
This is a oversimplification. Well written, a quick read and lots of good information. However, after conducting further research, I have come across the Andy Cutler protocol (PhD). This should be the only protocol to do a mercury detox. You should never take chlorella according to this protocol, as it will redistribute mercury from your fat and muscles to your brain and thyroid, and cause you to become more sick. I Hope you find your healing In Jesus name. 🙏There’s also a Facebook group called- Andy Cutler chelation: safe mercury and heavy metal detox.

Perfect plus more
Not only is this book about the heavy metal detox but it touches ground on the other lines of defenses such as skin, liver, digestion, lungs, kidneys and how to target and detox them, before the heavy metal detox! Author adds some humor so it’s doesn’t have that textbook vibe, easy to read, recommend for anyone trying to get themselves ready for what’s to come. Detox everyone in your family remember health is true wealth.

Very good introduction to detox
I am a biomedical engineer and I am very much into natural health. I loved this little book. It is a great summary / introduction to detox. Not a comprehensive detox bible obviously (lots of other books for that), but a concise, easily readable booklet. I love the style of the author, in fact I plan on buying his mold book too. This book was an input for me to buy further detox books to go more in depth. I was able to read it in a few hours and I very much appreciated the overview and pointers.

An easy read, and very helpful!
I learned from seeing a functional medicine doctor, after several tests ran, I have multiple health issues causing symptoms - including toxic levels of mold and several heavy metals. I tried my doctor's recommended chelation IV treatments, but they made me sick for days, even at the smallest doses. This book gave me a lot more information on the topic, without the additional expense on another doctor visit. I'm eager to try the advice in this book. I'm also still on the hunt for a good single-person sauna, as also prescribed by my doctor, and I very much appreciate the tip in the book about where to find a healthier version. If you know or suspect you have metal toxicity, but don't know much else about the topic, this book is a must-read!
