Good for stainless steel and copper
Of you are trying to solder and need good flux, this is it. If you are trying to solder copper to stainless steel, then don't even try it without this flux

Good With Stainless, Great With Electrical
This generally works, but it's a little tricky with stainless, copper and brass. I'm still giving it 4 stars because there is a learning curve, and the solder (AIM Silver) takes a higher temperature to melt...the flux may be burning off. I just bought some Oatey solder and it appears to work much better.Just for giggles, I tried it on electrical components and it was amazing. I wanted to solder some lugs after they were crimped, so I put a drop of Ruby's on each lug and it actually pulled the solder off the end of my soldering gun into the crimped joint. Nice!Tip: I keep a little squirt bottle (oil bottle?), the plastic ones on Amazon with the long stainless tips, in my torch and electrical bags. It's so much easier to apply, and you can squirt more on a joint if you get it too hot and burn off the flux.

Excellent Flux
I bought this flux to solder stainless steel BBQ skewers which I cut and fashioned into what you see in the picture. I had never soldered before and read that solding stainless steel was difficult and a special acidic flux was necessary. I was able to turn BBQ skewers into these geometric shapes for a wedding. I must say that there was a definite learning curve and the flux was a MUST to get the solder to flow but once I got the hang of it,it was a breeze. I HIGHLY recommend this stuff if you are soldering stainless steel. Beyond that I have no knowledge or experiences with soldering. As others have said YOU MUST WASH IT OFF AFTER or it is corrosive. I washed with mild dish detergent and thoroughly dried each shape (72) and had no problems. Another note, the bottle did swell and I had to loosen the lid after a few days. As I said I know nothing about soldering other than what I made so good luck. I couldn't get the solder to stick or flow without this stuff so I have to say it's a definite buy!

Three Stars
Worked fine but not great. Would buy again but not exactly overly impressed with performance.
