Product is really nice. I’m not crazy about the packaging as the lid has already split slightly and it’s not the most natural container for a squeezy bottle. Otherwise, the product works well and you really don’t need too much of it. If used sparingly as I have, it defines curls quite naturally. Perhaps more product would define and set curls more firmly but I’m not a fan of that type of styling so would be trial and error for other users. It’s a little pricey in my view but still a nice product and will probably last me a good length of time.

Unlike some heavy butters that weigh down your hair and make it look greasy by Day 2, this absorbs beautifully. It provides a "soft-touch" hold, meaning your curls look defined and coiled but feel like actual hair, not straw. The "Signature" Scent: If you’ve used amika before, you know the smell. It’s their signature sea buckthorn berry scent—warm, spicy, and slightly floral. It’s one of the few hair products I get complimented on regularly. Frizz Control: I live in a high-humidity area, and this cream is a lifesaver. It seals the cuticle perfectly. I apply it to soaking wet hair using the "praying hands" method, and it keeps my ringlets intact even after diffusing. Clean Ingredients: As someone conscious of hair health, I love that it’s sulfate-free, paraben-free, and vegan. It feels like a treatment and a styler in one. Pros: No "Crunch" Factor: There is zero "cast" or stiffness. You don't have to "scrunch out the crunch" because the curls stay soft from the start. I tried this at my local hairdressers. I have searched high and low for a product that defines curls without crunchiness or unnecessary drying out of my hair due to alcohols. I’ve tried devacurl and LUS and both made my hair really heavy and greasy and tangled within a day or two. This I just re wet my curls and add a tad bit more in where needed. My hair is soft and bouncy. The smell is very strong for the small amount you use so fragrance sensitive people may be offended by the smell. I am sensory sensitive and get migraines from smells but I’ve gotten used to it. Everyone says I smell amazing haha.
