The sponge provided is smaller than the space or grill provided for water suction as it's smaller water bypasses the sponge and enters into the propeller section without getting filtered and even the sponge is cut slanted I don't know which engineer cut that sponge hats off to him

Dangerous for Fishes
It's very dangerous for Fishes as the water thrown at very high speed. My fishes got anxious and died.Not recommended for small and medium aquariums.
