Best learning tool of the Bible.
Of all the study books for the Bible this author has done an excellent job breaking the books of both the New and Old Testaments down for anyone to understand. This book is perfect for those individuals that want to get an understanding of the Bible without having to attend seminary school. I would recommend this book to any new convert or someone that has not had the Bible explained to them. Its modern day language makes the Bible easy to understand and how it came to be. How each book of the Bible was written and who the author was along with their history.

Great breakdown for Beginners -- Just needs polishing
I enjoyed this read for it's breakdown of each of the 66 Books of the Bible. I have never read the Bible in it's entirety so Brian's writing has helped establish a baseline for each book when I get to reading it within the Bible. I also enjoyed the historical perspective of why/who wrote each Book at the beginning of the chapter as well.My improvement call for the author is to polish spelling errors and grammatical issues. It is readable through these but it causes you to backtrack as a reader multiple times to ensure you understand what is trying to be portrayed. Thanks for the beginner study book Brian!

Needed editing before publication!
Just started this book. Content is good, HOWEVER, the author should have enlisted an editor prior to publication.I'm on page 36, ready to start the portion featuring the book of Esther. Prior chapters contained multiple editorial mistakes: repeated words, missing words or punctuation, grammatical errors, etc. These errors are distracting and they disturb the flow of the content at times. I've found it necessary to stop and re-read passages to make sure I am correctly processing the material.A skilled author either performs multiple readings to ferret out his/her own mistakes, or enlists someone to do the same so errors are discovered and corrected before publication.Lack of editing is not only disappointing, but leads the reader to question the writer/author's ability to communicate cogent content. Any writer/author worth their salt invests in editing. I wince when I encounter obviously unedited content.End of rant.
