Awesome doesn't describe it!
I just started playing last night, so I'm not very far into it yet, but I knew what it was going into it. I put close to 100 hours into Overclocked and absolutely loved it. I had already put at last 20-25 hours into the DS version of Devils Survivor 2 when I heard about the port, so I put that down in anticipation of this. I love all the SMT games, including Nocturne, the Persona series, etc. I think this is a great SRPG. I'm already used to the demon fusing from other games, but if you haven't played an SMT before, the game will walk you through it. Play around with the fusions. You can always buy back demons you've previously fused. If you're an SMT fan, I can't recommend this enough. If you've never played an SMT game but enjoy SRPG's, give this a try. It's got a great story, and I think the battle system is top notch. If you run into time constraints (I know I do, I take a commuter train every day and had to put this down in the middle of a battle this morning), you can just close the lid on your system and pick right back up when you can. It would be nice to have Japanese voice acting, but the English voices seem to be very well done so far. I really can't recommend this enough to any JRPG fan!

A great choice for Atlus and SRPG fans alike!
This game reliably delivers both from a mechanical and a story level. The game is challenging enough to feel rewarding while remaining accessible via the free battles and surprisingly simple battle system. The story flows well without getting bogged down and manages to balance the serious content with humor exceptionally. Both stories are engaging enough to play through at least twice, and the game is long enough to last. The characters are memorable, and the voice acting is extremely well-done.Top marks; if you've enjoyed games like Persona or SMT, get this. If you are a fan of SRPGs, or RPGs in general, get this. If you want something new to go in your 3DS, get this.

What are you waiting for?
This is my first SMT game, and let me tell you: I am loving it.I was initially upset by the lack of japanese voice acting, however, the english voice acting, for the most part, is very well done.I've logged about 12hrs in and i'm only on the third day. This game has done a great job with developing the characters, and progressing the story. Each 30minute interval counts, so you have to use them wisely. Some of my favourite games are Fire Emblem, Pokemon, Zelda, Kingdom Hearts.. Well, yknow, JRPGS/SJRPGS.This game was an instant favourite.I would recommend ten fold.

The game is a great Tactics-style RPG that builds off of the first game ...
The game is a great Tactics-style RPG that builds off of the first game by adding more team dynamics and characters to pick from, including a Persona-esque Fate (i.e.; S. Link system.) A lot more effort seems to have gone into this port than Devil Survivor Overclocked, including a new animated intro, additional difficulty settings and an all new second quest (available from the start if you're a veteran of the original and want to cut to the new content.)

Not as good as DS: Overclocked, but still great
I really liked this game and put in well over 100 hours, but for me it fell short of Devil Survivor: Overclocked. If the original game didn't exist then I'd probably be raving about how awesome Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker is. By comparison to the first Devil Survivor, however, the story, characters and setting in this sequel just didn't work as well. The sense of foreboding and the increasingly tense atmosphere from the original game is probably what I missed most. In Devil Survivor 2 everything just feels much more "videogamey" and shallow. The story rationale for most of what happens is fairy thin, Boss fights are telegraphed well in advance, and the locations for battles rarely have much meaning (and you'll recognize many of the exact same maps from the original). No one seems all that phased by demons suddenly popping up in the world, and both friends and foes act like seasoned Demon Tamers without much buildup or explanation.Granted, I still really enjoyed this game. The battles and demon fusions are as fun as ever, and there are plenty of entertaining scenes and other character moments throughout the game. The new Triangulum Arc in particular is a lot of fun, and tells a much more interesting story than the original arc. On the whole Record Breaker also felt easier than the original, but that might just be because I actually knew what I was doing this time around. If you were a fan of the original then you should definitely pick this up, but don't go in expecting the story to have nearly the same impact. Having never played the original DS releases of either game I can't speak to the 3DS improvements, but the voice acting etc. in Record Breaker is on par with the quality of Overclocked.

One of my favorite games now
Love this game. I have the ds one, Devil Survivors 2, but couldn't finish it because it broke. This ones better with new 3d graphics, voice acting, and they changed some of there awkward character answers to something better suited to the situation. Also mine came newly packaged with the decals and soundtrack cd with it. The only weird thing is that the package said the game was $49.99, but I got it for $29.99.

The game played good and everything was there but the seal was wrong. Price was good enough I was ok with it.

Demons?!
This game is a fantastic turn-based fighting game with great character design and plot development. Along with that, it comes with stickers and a sountrack, and came in perfect condition. Highly recommend to any SMT fan.
