Royal & Langnickel Pink Art Beginner Artist Sketching and Drawing Wood Box Set, Sketch & Draw

I bought this for a Christmas gift for my almost 11 year old step-daughter. She LOVES drawing, so she'll love this Beginner Artist kit! My first impression was really great! It comes in a wooden box with a handle, and has two clasps to keep it closed tightly, so nothing will fall out of it. I can't stand getting a 'set' of things when it doesn't have the proper "case" to keep it all together. Just the box itself was enough to make me happy that I purchased this. Then, you open it up and it's full of great things that a budding artist will use: colored pencils, pencils, an eraser, a pencil sharpener, a drawing pad (although small, but she'll use it as well as regular sized paper), and a few other extras. The mannequin....SUPER cute. I don't draw, so for me, I don't get why it's in the kit....but, as a girl in 6th grade who loves clothes and fashion, I'm sure she'll come up with some GREAT inspiration with it. If your child has any interest in drawing -- this is PERFECT! I'd definitely recommend buying it! What an adorable set!

When I saw this in the drawing department I immediately click on it! This a beautiful art drawing supply case. It is loaded with everything a young artist needs. The case is so nicely made. I'm so pleased I found this for my granddaughter who is becoming a very good artist. She is 11 and was over joy when it came. The price is so reasonable you can't pass it up. You will just love the pink box goody...

I purchased Royal & Langnickel Pink Art Beginner Artist Sketching and Drawing set for my 16 year old sister for Christmas. She has several disabilities and drawing is one of the few things she can do at the same level of other kids her age. I was very happy with what was included in this set and the quality. The snap shut box makes it easy to keep up with and easy to travel with. There are plenty of sketching accessories and tools in this set for nearly anyone, especially a beginner, to keep them from being overwhelmed while learning the fundamentals of drawing and sketching. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I purchased this from Amazon specifically for the mannequin. It was worth the purchase as one mannequin was costing almost the same as the set! My daughter has taken the rest of the set - it is pink and that is her favourite colour, it has everything you need for drawing as a previous reviewer said, you just need a larger sketch pad. We just took out the plastic insert as the stuff kept falling out, placed a piece of velour in bottom and laid out contents on one side. We are quite happy.

A year later, I thought I'd weigh in on this product. We gave it to our 7-year-old daughter last year, because she loves drawing and we thought it would be a great next-step-up for her to get into art without a major investment in supplies if it turned out to be something she didn't care for over the long haul. The pencils and eraser are decent quality for the price. The poseable figure is adequate but only 4 inches tall and rather small. She rarely uses it. The main thing I wanted to comment on is that less than a year later, the box is falling apart. The outside backing is pulling away from the sides on one part, and the white part holding in all the supplies was disconnected from the start, and always falls out when she opens it. This is not a great quality set, but it's a fine, inexpensive beginner's set as long as your expectations aren't too high.

This is an impressive sketch case. It is nice and small making it very portable. I think my six year old daughter is a little intimidated by it and doesn't know quite what to do with all of the pieces yet. In another year or two, I think she will appreciate it more.

My daughter is 7 1/2 years old and has just started getting into drawing, sketching etc. She wants to be a fashion designer when she gets older. I used to draw with pencil and enjoyed it and got this for my daughter. It comes in a nice little wooden case and she did like the wood mannequin that came with it. This would probably be geared to girls around the ages of 7-10 or 11 or so. I believe it will be a good buy if you're trying to your child interested in art or if they are already interested in art, sketching and drawing et cetera.

This is a great art box at a great price. It is perfect with a carrying case, all the essentials, some instructions, and I especially like and was the selling factor when deciding to purchase this one - the little pose-able mannequin it comes with. Perfect for helping art students learn how to draw people in moving positions. I highly recommend.

Ninguno de los materiales tiene una calidad excelente, sin embargo es el mejor regalo para iniciar a los niños pequeños en el arte, ya que otros estuches de contenido similar son de pésima calidad y no valen ni para eso. Los hay que llevan rotuladores, ceras y acuarelas que muchas veces ni pintan, además de que los niños lo ponen todo perdido y luego no salta. Así que éste está genial para el contenido que ofrece (opinión de una licenciada en Bellas Artes). Se lo regalamos a mi prima de 6 años por navidad y es estupendo. Además, que esté todo guardado en un maletín es perfecto para que no lo tenga todo desperdigado y que siempre que quiera llevárselo lo tenga todo junto.

Baught this gift for my little sister who my step mother says is going though a artistic phase the pink carry case is perfect for a young teenager and it contains a wide variety of drawing and artists materials ideal for the budding artist and at only 14 pounds is great value for a gift that should keep her busy and engaged for hours

Ho comprato questa bella valigetta per fare un regalo a una ragazzina che ama disegnare e infatti ha apprezzto molto. Il packaging è veramente ben fatto, fa davvero figura se si vuole appunto fare un regalo. Perfetto per un principiante, ma non se si cerca qualcosa in più, perchè la qualità è abbastanza mediocre. Avrei comunque dato 4 stelle, se non fosse stato per il fatto che in uno dei tre carboncini mancava completamente la mina, era vuoto.
