4.5" Michelangelo's Pieta Mary Madonna Jesus Catholic Statue Sculpture Figurine by Vittoria Collection Made in Italy

I really like my statue of the Pieta of the Blessed Mother. I placed it on my curio and I get to view it every day and it reminds me of the Passion of Christ. I highly recommend this item.

This is a very accurate miniature replica of the Pieta except for one noticeable flaw - Mary's left hand is curled around the body of Jesus instead of being extended outward as in the original. This is significant for the reason that the artist's intent I believe was to show her offering her Son to mankind and not drawing Him to herself.

I saw the original Pieta at the Vatican years ago. This small one is so close to the real one, the expression and tilt of Jesus’ head to Mary’s sorrow as she holds Her Sons body. Very nice.
