These pants are the best. They are lightweight and dry easily. My son wore them for a few days camping, with the legs attached and without. The legs are easily removable and just as easily reattached. We are pleased with these and purchased a second pair. The elastic waist adjustment is fantastic, I have a tall but skinny six year old, which makes finding pants that fit around the waist while being long enough difficult but these did the trick.

Made these work with the adjustable waist, which they thankfully have. Great fabric. My son said they were comfortable. Easily tuck into socks. They were just quite big in the waist and quite long for a youth small. But they did work for our hiking field trip and now he’ll have them for several years. Glad I bought them.

My 8 year old loves these! He loves that he can zip them off into shorts and I love how quickly they dry. He has a tendency to fall into creeks when playing on the edge haha so I love that he doesn't have to hike in wet clothes. They fit great and have the high quality I would expect from Columbia, we will be buy more!

I ordered these pants for my son for an upcoming fishing trip. I was a little hesitant on the sizing of them due to other reviews, but decided to give them a try since they had free return shipping. We ordered the small as he has been wearing a 7x or 8 in pants and they fit him great! My son is especially pleased with the zip off pant feature.

Thought there would be some growing room for our slim 10 year old grand daughter, but she loves them and the next size probably would have been top big.

My son wore them on our most recent trip and loved them. He liked the ability to drop to shorts in the heat and zip them on before the mosquitos got to him. The durability is there...I just wish I got more than a year out of them, kids need to stop growing! Great pair of pants!

My 10 year old son loves the outdoors and these pants have been sturdy and the material is great for the outdoors. We would highly suggest buying these. He loves the option of the zip off pant legs.
