Five Bearings Chinese Yoyo 5” Diabolo Toy with Fiberglass Diablo Sticks & String with Drawstring Bag (Translucent Purple)

My kids love this toy. Have learned lots of tricks off YouTube! A little on the heavier side but still easy to learn on!

Get one of the yo yos that ship locally. I ordered two different kinds and one arrived in three days and this one is still shipping 3 weeks later! My son loves the other one and has learned tons of tricks. If your child discovers this through a friend and Once one by the time he gets this one, he or she may have lost interest. Get the one that ships quickly. It’s a fantastic all ages toy (for lack of a better term) that really encourages them to learn tricks and to build their coordination. Update: We are at 55 days and no word. 58 days and no word other than “your delivery is running late.”

This was my second diabolo and my first 5 bearing. Although it is quite a bit more sensitive to 3D manipulation (roll and yaw), I really love how tight the stack of components line up on the axle. My 3 bearing had some tolerance on the axle which resulted in a lot of wear on the brass that really built up from repeated use. The cups on this diabolo don't slip at all, which makes me feel confident that it will last a long time. It feels heavier and a bit 'thicker' to get spinning, but once it's spinning it feels so smooth. However, because of the difference in the profile (3-bearings are very curved like a very curvy X shape, while the 5 bearing is significantly flat where the string lies, like an H shape) and the increased mass on the cup hubs, even while spinning at high speeds, the diabolo responds to you and wants to yaw and roll when you tell it to. This is different from a 3-bearing, which will tend to become very stable at high speeds, which is good for learning new tricks. I would say you should wait to get a 5-bearing until you are able to do orbits that also correct the yaw/roll. Also I should mention that I think some of the 'viscous' feeling when accelerating the spin comes from the rubbery/elastic material, but it's not necessarily a bad feeling. It's just different. Also, I like the flexible cups, since I'm still learning and I drop the yoyo a lot. I already love this product after only one afternoon.

Having never touched one before, within a couple hours my nephew and I have gotten fairly good at some basic tricks. We can launch one back and forth indefinitely and are now learning how to toss two simultaneously back and forth. I'm no expert, but they seem well built. One started wobbling but it was just that a nut had come a little loose and needed tightening. We discovered by accident that you need to have one side or the other facing you depending on your preferred power arm/direction of rotation. These are great fun during the covid isolation.

The foam on the stick came off and is makes the sticks super uncomfortable, I’ve had it only for 2 weeks and was kept inside only .

Got the Diabolo as a gift for my nephew, who is quite the Maven when it comes to Diabolos. He was thrilled, and can't stop playing with it He says the product is top-notch

This is supposed to be a five bearing diablo but it doesn't spin like it. The spin slows very quickly making this yoyo very difficult to work with. I'll need to look for better quality elsewhere.

This Chinese yo-yo is well made however you should be aware of a major flaw! My son is very good with his Chinese yo-yo and got this for his sister so she could learn too. While it is well made, the yo-yo is made of a softer, flexible material. The problem with this is that when you get the yo-yo spinning fast the force changes the shape of the yo-yo and causes it to wobble. This makes learning more difficult tricks more difficult. I wish we had realized it was not hard plastic prior to purchasing it as we would have returned it. (She had already used it for a few days before we realized the problem and couldn’t return it at that point.)
