Book Review
{My thoughts} – This book begins with The Bad Guys all discussing the death of Mr. Snake. If you can recall from the last book that he’d fallen off the space ship and they didn’t know what happened to him after that, so they were left to assume he’d died. The Bad Guys and the Bad Girls take the time to discuss how they are in need of a name change. So they come up with The Shadow Squad G. Once they have a name they go with it because it is different and it helps to include both the Bad Guys and the Bad Girls in a whole new group. It’s nice to see that no one is being left out. I actually like the new name.I look forward to seeing what is going to take place in the next book as I have enjoyed this series from the beginning. It is fun to read, interesting and well all around just good in so many ways. I like that it is funny and engaging for children.I recommend this series for any child that enjoys graphic novels and a good laugh!

My 6.5 year old son loves these books but be aware of some language
My 6.5 year old son LOVES the Bad Guy books which has sparked a love of books for him. The only issue I have with these books is saying “unkind” words like dumb, stupid, sucks, etc but it was a great opportunity to teach him that he is going to hear unkind words like this all the time and it’s all how he reacts. We need to teach our children how to react in situations instead of running to tell a parent/teacher a book says stupid. Teaching them young will hopefully help as they get older. When I was young, they were BAD words and I would get in trouble if I said them but I didn’t understand why they were bad words. As I got older, I was more tempted to use those words because they were outlawed. Kids ask a million questions because they WANT to learn and it’s up to us adults to teach them why the world is the way it is without 100% sugarcoating it.

Bought for an 8 yo
My 8 yo son loves this series. He's been reading these for a couple years now, and though he might be too old for them, he still loves the series so I keep buying him the next ones. I feel like it's the same as when I was a young girl and loved the Baby-Sitters Club books, even when I was too old for them.

best series for second grade boys
This series made a reader out of our boy! He now begs to read, and will keep me up well past bedtime to finish the Bad Guy Series! When we finish the book he brings my phone to order the next one. He struggled with reading before picking up the book so it's easy enough to keep his confidence/interest but it also has challenging parts and words at times. He introduced it to his class, and other moms had the same feedback.

Buy the series
My son wasn't much of a reader, ( we had some problems getting him to read outside of class/ sometimes during class) even though he was reading above his grade level. Then I read reviews on this series.... I'm so happy!!! I bought the first 5 for Christmas for my son, he read them in 2 days!!!! I couldn't believe what I was seeing! I immediately went on Amazon and bought the rest of the series! There are 12 books (currently out) in this series and its becoming a DreamWorks movies. This series has jump started a love for reading and for books that every parent wants their kid to have.
